Default What is This Insect?

I did my best to capture a photo of him. He is microscopic I mean, teeny tiny, as small as the head of a pin . I blew him up as best I could. It is an ant of some sort. Any kind of sweet left out on the countertop like honey , there will be an invasion of them by morning, all over the bottle… anything sweet left on top of the stove , a cinammon roll for example , is prey.. I can’t seem to find where the colony is coming from and as soon as the offending sweet is removed, they disappear. Is there a natural way to prevent them and what are they? Thank You..

Go to ace and tell them you have ghost ants, they have a bait that they take back to the nest and they are all gone within 24 hours. They are quite common but I can't remember the name of the bait, Ace will know.

Terro Gel ant bait traps work extremely well. Any hardware store, Amazon, or Walmart has them

I used to get them from kitchen window; Terra Gel did the job. I keep one there now.
