Yes, two fish, unless you have a bird. The Fish Police will stop by every couple of days to make sure your fish aren't reproducing.

A Sales Rep once told us that the "two domestic pets" rule was originally made to prevent residents from breeding animals.

No pet police - whew, glad to hear it. Looks like we'll have a car load and a VERY interesting ride when we return in October. Thanks everyone for the info and encouragement.

Only if they're catfish!

So if my guppies have babies, I'll just call the fish police I suppose.

You should have your guppies spayed or neutered to avoid that potential issue!

That being said, I walk my dogs 4 or 5 times per day, perhaps a mile ot two at a time. While I cannot control their "urge to go", I would never consider not picking up after them, and try to get them to go on a parkway or off someone's property when possible. Unfortunately this will not always be the case. I admonish those who are inconsiderate and don't pick up, but also am discouraged by those who choose to be irrational in their thoughts about pets. All of this talk has me thinking of canceling my upcoming house hunt, as I don't think I wish to be considered one of those awful pet owners. Currently I have another property in Florida and they have installed a pet post with bags and a waste can on the property. This both encourages people to pick up and throw out waste in a designated spot, or if not convenient, at home. The dog owners contribute to the cost. I do understand you have some dog parks there, but one of my dogs was attacked by a dog on our street and I am hesitant to go to a park where dogs are off lead. So we walk-a lot! I think we all need to temper our thoughts and consider we are not all on the same wavelength.
Wonderful !!! I hope you'll be very happy there.....

Gee let's see, you see something from the street, out in the open, and have to worry about people like you thinking that they are a peeping tom?
if anything is strange it's your statement!!!

I brought the dog in, but I knew who made the call, so I retaliated by calling the zoning board about a sign he had in his yard advertising some multi-level marketing scheme he was into, and was against local rules, and they made him take down the sign. Had he simply come to my house and explained that our dog's barking was disturbing him and asked if there was anything I could do, I would have been more than willing and happy to solve the problem. By calling the cops, he unduly got them involved, got his own problem brought to the attention of authorities, and lost and chance of gaining my respect or friendship. If you fell you are in the right and don't have the guts and confidence to approach things correctly, you are probably not going to get a satisfactory result.
sorry but it wasn't stupid, it was effective and stopped the problem immediately, I'd say it turned out to be the best method since the direct approach failed, several times, miserably. So you were completely wrong....and why would I care about your experiences since your method was stupid and ineffective, oh, don't like the words then DON'T USE THEM WITH OTHER PEOPLE!!

Fumar, how succinct of you! Yes, I am very happy there. However as a consummate positive thinker I am happy wherever I am. We make our own happiness in the end result, don't we?

Default Just a thought

Dogs aren't the only animals, etc. that pee and poop on lawns. We have squirrels, anoles, snakes, I think grass was invented with this purpose in mind.

When asked if the package contained any hazardous materials what was your answer? Have you ever heard of a perfectly wrapped package getting damaged and opening? You put many people at risk. If you think that this stupid, sick action of yours was OK then you need to see a doctor.

You say that you "could swear you saw 4 dogs in someone's birdcage". Why on earth would this bother you? We often have friends and over-night company visit us, and often they have dogs. I don't understand why you would be concerned enough to post this.
