We recently bought a CYV, we’ll be there in a couple of months to get things set up. This last winter we rented in Chatam Village and the home had Century Link as the provider. Our vacation home is in Calumet Grove, with that said who provides Internet/TV service in that area, is it Comcast, Century Link or another provider.
Also we don’t really need a land line but I’m assuming that the providers bundle internet/tv/phone so that the consumer gets their so-called best deal. What are you using and how about pricing? P.S. Does Cox Communications provide service in TV? |

If your only going to use it a couple of Months, Check Out “ Sling Player” NOT THE SlING BOX..
You put in your home, and you only need Internet in TV, The channels you get at home will Play here in TV. CHECK IT OUT “”SLING PLAYER”” ———————- |

There are several threads that address this question, including cord cutting options. "Generally" speaking internet is internet and cable is cable. Overall reliability can vary for no apparent reasons as well. That said, Comcast does have the most technologically advanced system, BUT generally speaking they have the ABSOLUTLY WORST customer service. Their billing system will cause you to make monthly calls to customer service and from there you are entering the 7 levels of hell. This has been documented here within TOTV and national surveys. Buyer beware!

Daddymac and Wavy Chips thanks for your input. Here at home we have Cox Communications and we've been happy with the service.

Since 2011 I have used Comcast for Internet only. I have been happy with it.

Century link internet only and no problems. I stream Prime Video, Hulu and Youtube TV whether in RI or The Villages.

Check to see if the Century Link cable in your area is fiber optic. If so, their internet service should be fast and reliable. Where we live between 466 and 466A Century Link can only provide 10 mbs because the cable is not fiber optic. We haven't had cable TV for three years now so we depend on Comcast for internet only. We haven't any complaints with the dependability of Comcast, just their customer service, as others have stated.
