Hoka without a doubt!! if you start looking at people on the walking trails, you'll see a lot of people wearing them. I went to buy sneakers and had new balance. I put one hoka on one foot and left the other sneaker on and walked around in the store. Night and day difference.!! Worth every penny

I went to Dr. Weber for plantar fasciitis. At the end of my appointment, he asked me to walk a few steps in my bare feet so he could see if my feet pronate. Attached is the list of recommended shoes he gave me. I already owned a pair of Hoka shoes but they are “neutral”. I love my Hoka Bondi 8 shoes and I still wear them but not for a lot of walking. I bought Saucony Hurricane, a “stability” model, and I can tell a big difference in my knees especially. I plan on buying a Hoka stability model as soon as the color I want comes back in stock.

Flip flops or Hey Dudes for every day knock around wear. My walking shoes are Hoka Clifton 9s from Fleet Feet. Golf shoes are Ecco. Simply can't wear one shoe for everything.

My every day footwear is by SAS (San Antonio Shoes). I’ve been wearing different types of shoes by this brand for over 20 years. My podiatrist highly recommends this brand for comfort and foot health.

Oofos for flip flops. Great arch support and like walking in air. Not cheap but worth it.

For closed toe shoe I use Sketchers slip ons. Very cushy and comfortable with arch support.

You didn’t mention if you are a man ir a woman. That being said, I wear Embark by SAS sandals that offer support and comfort. Not exactly the prettiest sandals but I got them in a light pink and they truly are comfortable and supportive

My doctor suggested birkenstock. He wears them. He told me that when you buy them, do not go out shopping for the whole day. Your feet will hurt and you would probably throw them away. He suggested to wear them for about 20 minutes in the house and then put on your other shoes for a few hours. Then put them on again for 30 minutes. He told me that they slowly mold to your feet. They have the best support for me.

NB is made in different countries. The same shoe size and make , The black ones are made in one country and the white ones are in a another country. And one is tighter than the other.

Birkenstocks . They make closed shoes as well as sandals. ABEO brand from TheWalkingCompany.com for sandals and sneakers.

The Walking Company used to have brick and mortar stores and they have several brands but the Abeo work best for me.
