Default What size table for my At Ease kitchen

I need to buy a small table and chairs for my kitchen (At Ease model) and I'm unsure about the proper size to buy. I'd like a round table and 2 chairs that would comfortably seat myself and my husband for our meals. It looks to me like a 36" round top is just too small to accommodate both us us but I don't know how big is too big for the space.

If any of you who live in an At Ease could advise me of what you've put in your kitchen, I would be grateful. I'm thinking that I'd like a 42" round. Would that be too large?

If you'd visit Showcase Direct in the plaza of Spanish Springs (perhaps the store in LSL does this as well) you will find they know all of the models and have floorplans of each and the furniture sizes that fit. It's very helpful!! You wouldn't have to necessarily have to purchase from them to find this out.

Thanks. I'll check out Showcase Direct. Curious also about whether you have stools on the dining room side of your kitchen counter. I'd like a couple but not sure there is ample room next to the DR table and chairs.

Jadlos,
I needed a little (but not too little) island in my kitchen. I didn't know what size would give me another surface that was large enough for painting and still let me open the cupboards, the fridge & the oven.

This is what I did, and maybe it will help you:
Measure the standard sizes that tables comes in.
Make a paper template of the larger size out of newpaper and tape.
Add templates for the chairs so you can see if you have room to pull them out.
Lay the templates on the floor where you want your table and leave them there for a day or two. You'll be able to tell if the table is the right size or, if you keep stepping on it, you need a smaller one.

Hope this helps,
Judy

Default One bar stool

We also have an at ease cottage. We opted for just a single and decorative bar stool as the dining table is adjacent to the bar. Less, is more

All good suggestions. Thanks so much. I think the template idea is genius. Why didn't I think of that?

Only 31 days until I can layout that template!

40" diameter is, I believe what I'm looking for. I've looked at a lot of places (including Showcase Direct website and cannot find 40" tables . . . . lots of 36" and 42" and 48".

Can you tell me where you got your?
Thank you.

I'd still check with the stores in person...they do the template thing which is pretty cool AND sometimes the website doesn't have what the store has. I'm just saying!
Good luck with your quest.

I bought mine over 15 years ago in S. Florida. 42" is only another inch on each side, hardly noticable.

We have an At Ease and our kitchen table size is 36 inches and seats two comfortably. We bought it at Nearly New south of 466A on the right hand side. They sell used furniture but also sell brand new as well. This table is brand new and very pretty - it is wicker. If you are interested, pm me and I'll send you a picture of it.

Good Luck
