Those Wildwood Commissioners will have enough money to buy a house in The Villages.

Met a young lady newly working at Another Broken Egg. She is applying to all the close apartments near TV. In the meantime driving from northern part of Ocala.

Wildwood will have 700 units open by September on 462. Tell her to hang in there. Beaumont and the Wilds have units, but I believe the Wilds has vacancies even now before they open up their newest building. They run about 2 K a month for their larger units.

A lot of worker bees here are driving a lot of miles for their job here. Maybe living here close to their job would make more sense…….what say you? Duh!

The population has increased significantly over the past few years. More workers are needed, and they must have a place to live.

There are also millions of square feet of industrial space in the works in Wildwood and Coleman that will employ thousands of workers, they all need somewhere to live. Additionally teachers for the new schools and employees for the new Hospital, so on, and so on.

I recall visiting an in law about thirty years ago. I was ready to sell my business and move down. I was too young by about twenty-five years. Being in the middle of the state I thought it would keep the small town feel. Buffalos grazing, gopher tortoises. I am now looking for that old time Florida town once again. If I find it I will definitely not post where on the site. Sorry.

It was recently reported in the other newspaper, that Burk’s BBQ (466A near Micro Racetrack) and some 85 acres was sold to Evolve Cos. for 4.5 million. There are plans to develop the area directly adjacent to the Villages into high rise apartments. That should loosen up the housing market a little more. It will be great for workers too who can get affordable housing and basically golf cart or bicycle straight to work.

Various sources guestimate between 600 and 1,000 people move to Florida daily. They have to live somewhere. If the growth is too much for you, move to Detroit. I have seen pictures of whole neighborhoods abandoned and Michigan is in the top 10 states losing population.
