Default What's Happening in Both Squares Today?

I looked in on both squares and it looks like some kind of festival in both places.

CHILI COOKOFF

Buy a wristband for $5 and eat samples of chili; some from restaurants, some from clubs; vote for

We walked over to LSL for coffee and the smell of chili was delicious. I don't eat red meat so I would not eat chili, but it sure smelled good.

Thanks ALN. Is there a listing of what's happening in the Squares on any of the TV web sites? We will be there on 3/8 for a week and want to get in on the festivities.

At this site there is a recreation calendar:

http://www.thevillages.com/recreation/recreation.asp

Scroll down and on the left you'll see "Recreation Downloads". The last item in that subcategory is "Monthly Calendar".

I went to the chili cook off and tested a half dozen chilis. Some was great and some went right into the trash after two small bites. I voted for the chili made by Bridgeport Lake Sumter and Urban Flats. My neighbors made the BLS chili. They ground the meat(pork and beef) for the chili. It was superb! I love good chili.
