Or who knows, maybe VPL fell off the wagon and ate a piece of jerky.
Maybe he is visiting all the vegan restaurants of the world? That would take some time and lots of money.

Maybe he has moved to Colorado!

I like him for how he sticks to his guns with his teaching, even though we roll our eyes at some of his postulates on diet being "everything".

Does anyone know his name and phone? I hope nothing has happened to him. It would be awfully boring here if everyone agreed BEER or GOLF is the answer to all our maladies.

I suggested once that he move to the People's Republic of Boulder (Colorado), but it was one of the many posts removed by the powers to be. Maybe he saw it before it was deleted. I suggested his students would have to listen to him if they wanted to pass.

Anyone interested in Ben and Jerry's vegan ice cream?

I don't know. Maybe it's just me. Shouldn't this thread be put to rest ?
At the beginning of this thread, I thought it was a little light hearted and maybe a little fun.
However, if I was Villages Pl, and I saw 16 pages of this, I personally would never come back to this forum. It just seems way too much at his expense.
I just think it's really time to let this go. JMO

I know what ur saying.

But if I go on vacation for a month, forget sixteen pages of comments..........I think the only way sixteen people would notice is if I told 15.

I actually think that he would be "delighted" that there were that many people who cared and were concerned about his well-being. It appears that he was often attacked directly for his views, but here there has only primarily been references to those posts. 16 pages of comments is a strong indication of the value that he apparently has contributed to this forum.

I don't think he would shy away from any debate.

If fact you guys can always argue with me I never get tired of it

On another thought I think the way several of the usual anti vegan jump all over the vegan life style has scared off a lot of people that would like to know more about.

I say this because of the PM's I always get about the topic.

Is that really the best way to debate.

Ice cream

news for those who live a dairy-free life: Ben & Jerry's is releasing a vegan ice cream next spring. According to the Telegraph, the company has been working on a new dairy-less ice cream and plans to use either coconut milk or almond milk as as base.

Co-founder Jerry Greenfield tells the paper, "In the US there are [dairy-free] alternatives from smaller companies but Ben & Jerry's will be first mainstream company that will do that and will also do it in a really delicious way." The company was apparently inspired to create a vegan ice cream after a petition asking for non-dairy options quickly gained 27,000 signatures.

So what other alternative Ben & Jerry's pints could be popping up in your freezer one day? In March, Greenfield and fellow co-founder Ben Cohen admitted that they would consider making a cannabis-infused ice cream. Cohen noted: "Makes sense to me. Combine your pleasures." Maybe one day the duo will create a vegan weed ice cream for the ultimate hippie treat.

I will definitely try the ice cream. We drink exclusively almond or cashew milk. I love ginger soy ice cream at Epcot. I bet I'll like it.

Soy ice cream has been around for a long time.

If I recall correctly, Jimbo, Carl Esselstyn advocates that you stay away from all synthetic meats made from soy. Would the same hold true for soy based ice cream?

I was thinking the same thing Bonny.
If I took an unannounced break, I wouldn't want anyone to start a "Where is Barefoot" thread.
Especially if people started to speculate about whether I had medical issues.
I realize all the posts have been meant in the kindest possible way, but in my humble opinion, I think VPL now deserves some privacy.

I think he would answer each post about him individually.

Then we'd be off to the races, again.
