I'm in my pj's, drinking coffee, listening to the howling wind, and hoping temps will get to the 20's sometime today. Had a white Christmas here in Virginia but looking forward to leaving on Sunday for a short visit to my cousin's in TV. Need to gather more sand from our lot in Buttonwood and bring back here. Hopefully, to bring some luck to sell this house.

Not in TV, sitting on a pile of snow somewhere north of the sun belt... way way north of the sun belt!

Gracie, no matter what post I read of yours it is always so positive. I hope to meet you one day.....right now the snow is falling. My husband and I are just outside of Boston and
we had our first big snow fall. Can't wait to live in Florida...still working so will be awhile.
Enjoy your family! Best to you and your family in the New Year!

Default we are where ????

The Woodlands, Texas.... Awesome community ...much like The Villages........But for ALL ages.....I believe this is PARTY CENTRAL for all the "oil trash" of South Texas. 40 miles north of Houston. I think ALL the EXOTIC Cars and most Mercedes And Bentleys winter here.......................... Dognabbit...we just ran out of fireworks and wine. Time to find our way back to the house...yup there it is at the end of the cul-de-sac...Ooopps ..I left my shoes at the neighbors......Oh well it is almost 4 am Central...and we are headed back home to The villages FL-----in our cheap-o car at NOON......At least the kid won be embarrassed to have our car in his neighborhood any longer......

Home in TV, in bed, nursing a cold (my first in 5 years). Don't grandkids just give you the most wonderful presents? rofl In the meantime, hope everyone had wonderful holidays and that the New Year brings us all peace, health, prosperity and happiness (with just enough pain to let us know how good life and this world is).

Awww Redwitch. If you are still feeling lousy the end of the week, I will make you my Chicken soup 'cause we are heading to Hadley!

I am in my basement, and see that everything is all clean and tidy, all of the decorations are put away, Sweetie spent the whole afternoon testing lights and storing them, just to test them again when he takes them out again, and the three of us had our little New Years celebration but didn't stay awake until midnight.

This house feels empty and lonely after all of the people who have been in it this month: our two grandchildren and their friends, our Austrian houseguest, our oldest daughter and her friends, our Helene and her friends. Our friends and relatives. We had four big parties and cooked for a lot of people and buried two long time friends and celebrated Christmas and lived every treasured moment.

Now we are eager to join our dear ones in TV. Perhaps by the end of this year we will be year 'round residents.

Same here, witch. Have my cold three days now, I think, caught from my grandson. It's New Years day. No hangover. Waiting on Fl. vs. Penn State game. Temp. supposed to hit 77 today in TV.

Oh Frank, both of your homes are lovely, LOVELY! I knew you would be one who took excellent care of his property. How hard it must be to think of your leaving your beautiful Northern home for the whole year.

I am having a bit of trouble with that.
