Maybe "Paradise" is stretching it a bit, but it sure is a great place to live. It's beautiful, it's clean, there's lots to do, the air is clean (coming from CA, I appreciate that.. ), there's a great fire and rescue department, lots of places to shop, the weather is pretty good most of the time, there are many things to see and do close to our community, to name just a few things. When grandkids visit, there's time to enjoy their company. Kids love it here, our children as well as our grandchildren.
We live among our peers, who understand some of the little "difficulties" we all experience as we age, people who have had many experiences in life, people who are willing to help their fellow man. Oh there are some who are "grouchy" but for the most part, everyone is friendly and helpful. Try stopping your golf cart and take out a map...lots of people will stop to help get you on your way to where you want to go....

It might not be paradise, but I enjoy it here.

It was a simple question. When you think about it, you'll have your answer...one doesn't just move to another locale without reason. Since most on TOTV live here, will or want to, there have to be many positives.

I can't wait to live in TV full time! It's love, friendships, great neighbors, dancing in the streets, things to do, places to go, totv'ing, laughter-loving, lifelong-learning, neighbor-helping-neighbor, warm and welcoming.

It might not be paradise, but it's everything I'm looking forward to in my retirement!

Ok, now I'm confused.
Jeann, Does who live here?
TH, Were you just asking Jeann, whom you quoted; or was that a general purpose bump?
Just wondering.

I was asking Jeann why/if he/she considers the Villages a paradise. Just trying to bring my discussion back on track.

My wife and I frequently comment on how lucky we were to "discover" The Villages.
We would like to be closer to our families but they reside from Boston to San Francisco. In order to be closest to all of them we would have to move to Kansas. I have lived in Kansas and have happy memories of of my time there.but prefer The Villages at this point in our lives.
I would love to move to the Villages But, our family is all here in NJ.We have 5 grandchildren too.

Oh dearest Jeann, no you didn't offend me! You are so sweet! I was kidding poor TH for trying again to steer us back to paradise, and now look what I've done.
