Another hypothetical:
If five or six of the neighbors got together one night and shot the five pigs. Then collectively decided to clam up to all authorities.... um sort of like chopping down $50,000 worth of trees.
Seriously sorry these wild animals are digging up your property.

I just bought a new "Red Dot" scope for my AR-15 and all I need is a call and I'll end your problem!!

Here's a blurb from the Fla. Fish & Wildlife web site that gives guidance:

Hunting
"Wild pigs are legally defined as wildlife and are the second-most popular, large animal hunted in Florida (second only to the white-tailed deer).
On private property with landowner permission, wild pigs may be trapped and hunted year round using any legal to own rifle, shotgun, crossbow, bow or pistol. There is no size or bag limit, and you may harvest either sex. Also, no hunting license is required. A gun and light at night permit is not required to take wild hogs with a gun and light on private lands with landowner permission.

So, if I brought out the "Desert Eagle" .50 cal., do you think that would get the job done? Everyone in the neighborhood and surrounding areas would probably hear it.

Lengthen the barrel and put on a scope. That should get the job done.

Ending to this original post...a trapper came, killed 4 of the 5. One got away. My husband and I had hoped the "trapper" would "trap" them and relocate them, rather than killing them! However, the person who called the trapper requested they be killed.
So...unless the 5th one was later "trapped" or killed, he is still running around.
Thanks for all of your good advice.
