I was offended by someone stating they were prior law enforcement when they were not. He was given numerous opportunities to just to apologize for his mistake as an adult would do so we could move on but instead he continues to try to defend his lie.

Hope that brief synopsis gets you up to speed.
Many of us recognized the response as being facetious; others are having problems comprehending that

You are trying to generate nightmares, aren’t you? I guess we could view those under thrillers on Netflix?

Many of us didn’t and didn’t consider it a joke. Again, just a simple heck sorry I shouldn’t have said that in an open forum would have ended it there. Instead, his continuation of excuses. Oh well….

But don't get bent out of shape on this one................

This has become a more interesting topic of golf cart speeds. I just got off the phone with a Sumter County Sheriff who was trying to tell me that the maximum speed of golf cart can legally go....anywhere in TV is 15 miles an hour?!?!?!? He obviously did not know the rules… And he is a deputy sheriff!
I looked up the statutes and essentially a golf cart is a vehicle (that I won't make a description because you know what it is) but according to the statues has a maximum speed of 20 miles an hour. Under Florida law and LSV is defined as a golf cart that can go over 20 miles an hour but less than 25 miles an hour. According to Florida law any golf cart that is capable of going over 20 miles an hour is no longer a golf cart but is an LSV. Under Florida law LSV's have to have several safety items… And those items are what people refer to as the villages package. FYI all golf carts sold after a certain date (2012?) have a manufactures certificate of origin and have VIN numbers. One thing they do not have is a windshield wiper. You also have to have the LSV registered with Florida. Other than the windshield wiper and the registering with the state of Florida… Which is fairly painless, I have everything on my golf cart that would enable it to be an LSV. That opens up some possibilities like going from Marsh Bend to get south of warm Springs. If I had a legal LSV I could legally use the roundabout because the speed at the roundabout is 20 miles an hour.....FREEDOM!!!!!!
LSV's must be electric, not gasoline.

Exactly! Even though I never post and only occasionally comment, I do read the posts and comments only on my iPhone, and currently while sitting at McAlister’s deli in Brownwood waiting for my lunch. You guys are just so very entertaining, and often even informative.

Why would I apologize? I meant it as a joke, and whether or not every single person “got it” is not my problem. You want an apology anyway? Ok, here it is: I’m sorry you didn’t understand it

Man, I would love to know the truth behind that claim

I'm afraid neighborhood watch or even the volunteer ambulance company in your podunk hometown, while *technically* a first responder, is a far cry from running towards the gunfire everyone else is running from.

It certainly does not qualify you to tell those of us that did so (or anyone else) how to conduct the business end of inner city (read as: violent, dynamic, unpredictable) law enforcement or the benefits (or lack of) of actual traffic enforcement.

Sure glad you have a comfy armchair, it seems to get a lot of use. Did you used to quarterback also?

YOU used the term “first responder “. That encompasses many more than just the police. Are you denigrating firefighters who runs into a burning building that everyone else is running away from because they are not getting shot at?

BTW, my “podunk” town was New York City
