If it’s about budget, then you can get by with the single setup, I’ve survived for 12 years with the single, like you, it was about budget, live within your means. If you have to give up the other pleasure of retirement for garage space don’t.

I have a regular size garage in a designer home. We have a Chevy Tahoe, 2 motorcycles and a golf cart in the garage with no problems. We use our attic, have ceiling hung storage and a gorilla rack for tools and equipment. If you use some creativity you really won't have any problems with a 2 car garage. Don't buy a 1 1/2 car garage, they are too small. Some homes have extended garages too. Happy house hunting. You'll love living here.

We had a 2 car garage on our designer and kept 2 cars, a golf cart and a scooter in it. Along with shelving and trash, recycling and other assorted stuff. No problem really. A little tight..but we did most of our dancing inside anyway.

No. Not with a regular garage. If you had the extra stretched garage, you might be able accomodate 1 car and two golf cars end to end.

1st rule of basements is also the 1st rule of garages - if you have space, you will fill it,,, both are like unto the 1st rule of attics modified - it you have 1 & its got a floor + safe access, you will fill that space too ;-)

We have been here almost 6 years and have never had a problem sharing 1 golf cart. Except in this time of covid 19, there are always people willing to share rides, and as a last resort you can rent one to golf. I personally prefer the space in the garage. We HAVE a golf car garage and use it for storage.

I have a 2 car garage. We have a KIA Sorento and a 2 seat and 4 seat golf carts. They all fit but a golf cart garage would have given us so much more storage and move around space. The home we picked had everything else we wanted, so we settled for no golf cart garage. Very doable!

You should be able to get 2 golf carts and 1 small to medium SUV in a standard 2 car garage with no problem, but as they are saying a Golf Cart Garage would increase your selling (and higher price) when you do Sell.

Had my garage extended 4ft when the house was built. I had a Hyundai Santa Fe , a 4 seater and a 2 seater golf cart plus storage cabinets. I can still open my car doors.

We have a small SUV , a reg cart & a 4 seater. We keep all of them in our 2 car garage. No problem, but we DO have to play the “golf cart shuffle” depending on who leaves first.

Are you talking gas or electric carts? Having enough electric might be an issue as well but all great comments. We had a 2 car garage, 2 electric carts and 2 cars ... one car and both carts fit just fine but three would not. I wish we had thought before buying as a carty garage REALLY adds value to your resale, if and when that occurs, just a thought. Good luck to ya and God Bless!
