There are people who own homes in TV and live in them and they are under 55.
Also have heard about long term renters (1-3 years) who are in their 40's. Maybe they are in that 20% that can be 20 and above as long as they have the means. |

Depends on where you're looking. "Baby Boomer Brownwood" would be an Excellent Choice!

We just purchased in 2/14. There are no restrictions to live in the property 6 months out of the year. If you want to buy, find a place you love, there is no better time than now to make the purchase. Interest rates and prices have no place to go but up. May I ask where you heard "you must live in the home for 6 months"? |

Think the 6-month rule applies to claiming residency in Florida; probably a confusion over that.

The Villages, Florida (FL) profile: population, maps, real estate, averages, homes, statistics, relocation, travel, jobs, hospitals, schools, crime, moving, houses, news It is now four years later so the median age is probably a little over 70. Most of the new people moving in will be younger though.

Due to turnover the mean age is not necessarily going up. The 'historical side' tends to have older residents; south of 466a people tend to be younger. However, I have recently met a number of 50-somethings who have bought homes near Spanish Springs and are totally gutting them. They all told me that a lot of people are doing this because the prices are lower and the lots are larger. And besides - age is just a number. I'm 67 and I have friends in their 50s as well as some pushing 80. Living in The Villages keeps us young.

Average age will be younger in newer neighborhoods.
