If someone doesn't share with you here...Publix would be a super good source (or any grocery store). Ask the produce manager for his apple boxes---super good. They generally have covers that come all the way over the box and also have handle/holes to carry them. Liquor stores also are great sources for heavier items (ie books, dishes etc.) Good luck with your endeavor! HOPING we don't have to think about another move in a very long time!!!!

Also try looking in the Free Section of Craigslist for the Ocala area.

I know this is a bit of a hijack, but would you share the reason behind your move?

I'm moving to Buttonwood from Atlanta April 15th and I'll have lots of boxes you can have, including wardrobes and dishpacks, and many others. I can save them for you. Please PM me for my contact information if interested.

Default helping

This is one of the reasons it makes TV such a great place to live. People helping people they do not necessary know but glad to do a little extra and give a helping hand. I applaud your generosity and caring attitude by Ohio Railgirl. You make our community that much better and a big welcome for you.

Another thank you goes to JimBev for thinking green and recycling. All to much these days we will just buy new or take an easier path. I wish more people would have this attitude in there personal lives, business careers, and future endeavors. It would make this world a better place that much longer.
IMHO

Thank you for such kind words, Scroll. I've been wanting to move to the Villages since I first visited the place 12 years ago. I have relatives nearby. Finally, I retired April 1st and the moving van comes next week. I'll finally be a Village person!! Yeah! My company has transferred me several times through the years and I've saved these boxes from my last move. I'm happy to give these boxes to anybody who needs them instead of throwing them out. I probably have about 50 boxes of various sizes.

long story short...we sold our house in illinois in february. listed, sold, closed in three weeks (cash sale). sold our patio villa (two weeks). building a gardenia. main motivation was a larger garage. we are happy with the patio villa, the neighborhood, our neighbors and the villages.
We are good for boxes now, thanks to members here.

Does anyone have a washer and electric dryer for sale?

Sounds like this is going to work out good for you...glad to hear it! By the way...I made it back to IL just fine. Glad to be back home with David and the cats - for awhile again!
