I'll post a few pic's later.
Are you kidding? All that research and design craziness and you found what you wanted already built? Where and what the heck is it?

Congrats, Jimbo. Please forgive me for asking something personal, but did that entail your forfeiting your deposit? The reason I'm asking is because we recently discovered that the lot we've reserved is inches short of adding the stretch we want. We've gone back to the drawing board and searched for lots that might be close to meeting our needs, and even letting go of some of our other wants with respect to orientation, etc. (Figuring out lot dimensions is no easy task)! After much work, we've discovered that there are fewer lots available that meet our dimensional needs, except those that have a very high lot premium on the golf course. When we compare the costs of those to re-sales, the re-sales seem better priced, with mature landscaping and all the other amenities that people have added over the years. Since we put a full year's deposit down, we are really in a quandry. I thought building our own would enable us to get what we want; instead we are feeling really stuck. Still, glad it worked out for you, but was wondering how, if you don't mind my asking.

Our rep told us that the deposit can go for another lot or any spec, but not for a resale even if TV is listing it ... Sorry to give you that news .... We are going down tomorrow for design on Mon. But have all day Sun. with our rep looking at specs.and lots. I was hoping lots on Bluebeard Ct would open up .....not yet!
Good luck with your pursuit!

Hi Both,
Well done and Congratulations.

Just a little worried about the closing on the 2nd January, will you both have recovered from the New Years Eve Gilly party by then?

Yes we will come out on Saturday, 8pm it is!

Hi Lorraine,

Well done and congratulations on your closing.

Unlike Jimbo, you have a few days to get over the New Year before closing

Where is your new home?

I also had a year deal at $7500, this morning at the transfer of lots the agreement credited that and I had to add an amount to make up a total of 10%

So this was supposed to simple install a spa with solar, no problem, on the original lot.

Now the landscaping is a major project.

Now I said who needs a pool there's so many at the rec centers, right?

Noooooo Cathy wants to look at pools next week, nice to have the space, it's an inside corner.

By the way the golf cart garage is extra deep like a double.

Jimbo,
We are soooooo happy for you! Bet you can't wait until January 2!!!
Wishing you and Cathy all the fun, happiness and good times in you new home!

Rona & Bill

PS - I think you're undercutting the value of your various designs. I would hold out for more Coronas!

Amazing. Life is so funny. But if you hadn't done all the research you might not have seen the value in the spec. It looks lovely. Congrats to you both. You can now breathe. Tomorrow they will have your name sprayed on in the window with SOLD. You're done. Now you can obsess on the landscaping. That will keep you busy easily until spring.

SOLD
We just got back from closing and dinner. That's two celebrations two nights in a row. Now we've got 3 weeks to pack and get to TV.

Hey Jimbo . . . . Congrats on the new house. Looks nice. So happy the celestial orientation is facing the right angle of the dangle
