See you soon!
We are in the same boat with need for services info. We want to have our garage and lanai painted/coated. But we heard that it takes 11 days for the coating to totally dry. When we come down, will you talk with us about services? We would appreciate the help. And all of you are so resourceful! Thanks, Gayle and Mike

I inadvertantly answered the email that said "do not reply to this email". Sorry about that.

Betty, Thank you for your information. When we come down on Feb 01 we will look further into our options. You are right, if you dont do it right away, you probably will never do it.

I look forward to meeting you. Where is your house being built? We are at 1351 Kilgore Way. Almost on the corner of Kilgore and Bradshaw.

Have a safe trip back to Atlanta. Our movers are coming tomorrow. Our close is
Feb 20. We are excited. See you soon. With regards, Gayle

Thanks for any help.
Where to start? So many topics, some of which have been addressed earlier, but here goes:

Cable - we use Century Link for everything. Fiber optic service. I like it

Insurance Company - We went through TV Insurance for the various policies we need for our home, golf carts, car, and rental property. Could be others, I'm probably just lazy.

Lawn Service - We use Dean's and are happy with them. They do bugs inside and out, and lawn mowing, shrubs, etc.

Electrician/handyman: depends on what you need done. Dave does most of ours since he was in the construction business for 40 years.

Garage stairs: We ordered from Home Depot and Dave installed. It was pretty simple and probably very cost effective for us. Total cost - something around $130 for the stairs.

Garage Floor finishers: We have not done - still discussing which way to go

If you're not going to be a FROG, I would definitely have someone check on your house, unless you only live a couple of hours away and will be in and out.

Others will have other recommendations and everyone has their favorites. We are very satisfied so far.

Meredith

RE sinkhole insurance, we were advised that it is mandatory north of 466, but not necessary south of 466. We didn't add it.

Default Info

We got our insurance through the Villages-included sinkhole--the only stipulation was because we aren't permanent we needed a home watch that was licensed and bonded--wanted to just have my cousin stop by every week as he lives in TV but they said no. So we we went w/Jeff with "The Home Watch" and it's $10.00/wk--can provide the # if anyone needs it. Won't get cable until we're back--Jim's job is maintenance so will probably install the ladder and may finish the garage floor--will have to see. Went w/Stellar for the lawn until Jim is here and can cut himself--gave us a good deal. Want T&D to do some extra work off the lanai when we return in the spring. Had doughnuts installed around the sprinkler heads.

I know of 2 sinkholes last spring south of 466A and one was on our current street next to a pond.

Default More of the Lee's

I got up early this morning having every intention of taking pics of the concrete pad as it was being poured and what to my wondering eyes should appear? An already poured and drying concrete pad with a guy using a paddle machine thingie on the surface. And, this was not my usual get up time of 9:30!!! This was all done by 8:00am!!!

So, you have a concrete pad. No block delivered as of this evening. They'll probably have the roof on by the time I get up in the morning. This place is just amazing!!!

I agree with the others about sinkhole insurance. It was so inexpensive that we didn't think twice about getting it.
