Hi Kitty, we were up just for the day running around like crazy taking care of stuff for our house build and move and we went by your house in the dark thinking our car lights would help in the driveway...well, we didn't know you had mud pits around the side of your house, and WOW did we step in it big, and had to drive home over an house with muddy shoes...but we did get to glance at your magnificent castle...can't wait to go to a party at this TRUE party house. You are a lucky women, and I'll try to glance at it in the daytime next time we can come up...You are a lucky, lucky woman.

Default House Security

I don't even have appliances or carpet and I already have my own security. Right after I took this picture the guy in MY doorway said, "take one more step and I'll turn the dog with a limp loose on you".

Does anyone know if they finished hanging my sheetrock today??

Taking my traditional morning walk over to the "other" village, I can only say, "Boy all you Gilchristians better get to work". Hotrodgirl is just about done with her landscaping. I don't know how A4 is going to catch up. Did I mention the landscaping is really really lovely?
Hot and I were noodling the construction and now that the houses are going in between Birdsong and Amherst and we need to find a couple back to back neighbors who would be willing to let us use their side yards as a cut through for dog walking. Otherwise, we will be separated by an endless row of houses that go all the way down to Pinellas!!!! Maybe if we could buy two lots, one on Birdsong and one on Amerhest, we could have a dog park?

I am on Destin and have never seen a dog on the course. I did see a woman walking it coming back from the pool. That was interesting.

Ok Rusty and Gayle! The only 2 people on this forum that have joined the Village of Gilchrist Gilbillies GROUP on Facebook...I just created an event for the Gillybration at EP on 2-20. You should see it at the top of your own FB screen towards the right! It will say that I'm attending it (but I'm not...it only says that because I created it). It will stay up at the right until 2-20 passes.

I belong to several groups but can't find this one! Great idea! Will keep searching. 2 weeks and counting, boxes boxes everywhere ...

Re: cutting through from "The Birds" to Gilchrist -- try walking along the golf course behind the berm. Of course, that won't work if there are actually golfers on the 2nd hole of Destin, but it works for a lot of us on Amherst as we go back and forth. Just watch out of the Ambassadors.

Looking forward to the Gillybration on the 20th Gayle. We plan to go to the Watoto Children's Choir concert at 5 p.m. that evening at Hope Lutheran Church before heading to EP, if anyone else would like to join us. Info was in today's Sun.

Lisa, thanks for doing the FB group. Will wander that way as soon as I leave this page.

A group works differently that the page that was created...when a page is created, the person that "owns" the page must post on it so that people that "LIKE" it can see the posts on their newsfeeds.

Lots of businesses do pages as a way of advertising.

With a GROUP, it will show up on the left-hand side of your facebook page and you can see the number of new posts that have been made to it and then simply click on it to read them. So...anyone who wanted to ask a question or schedule a Gillybration could do it via a post to the group and we could all easily see that a new post was waiting for us to read.

I think it will facilitate communication a lot more than this forum...

Thought??

Can't find the GROUP FB page. Have searched a million different spellings. Am I missing something ?
