I have you on the spread sheet but I don't have your email address. Send me a PM with your address and I'll get you fixed up.

Welcome to the neighborhood Mark. We are moving in on Feb 20 at 1351 Kilgore. Mike likes to golf too. He is looking for some golfers who like to have fun. Looking forward to meeting you soon. Gayle and Mike

I think we need a Gilllybration next week. Both Mike and I (Feb 20)and Terry and Teryl (Feb 22) are closing. And I thought someone else was closing next week. Sounds like a great time to meet.

Ed and I wandered into the Bradenton Rec Center the last time we were there (mid Jan) and the employee at the front desk pointed us to a clip board. We just got our first email from the activities director there...it was about beginner pickleball...

yes, Andy, Wendy, Cathy & myself took the pickleball lesson was great fun.

A few others were supposed to be there but couldn't get out of their jammies in time, something about the sun not being overhead.......

Millie is one smart doggie. Imagine speaking proper english like an American! Brilliant! Ha ha

Remember...according to the Proclamation that was sent out a few weeks ago, anyone can call a GillyBration when the mood strikes. Looks like you're up, Gail!!!

Please have, Mike give me a call. I'd love to play although you have to remember that the game that I play is more like "Whack a Ball" rather than golf. We need to get Mike in on this also!!!

Just out of curiousity...how many of you are on Facebook? I did create a GROUP on Facebook (search Village of Gilchrist Gilbillies). A group works differently that the page that was created...when a page is created, the person that "owns" the page must post on it so that people that "LIKE" it can see the posts on their newsfeeds.

Lots of businesses do pages as a way of advertising.

With a GROUP, it will show up on the left-hand side of your facebook page and you can see the number of new posts that have been made to it and then simply click on it to read them. So...anyone who wanted to ask a question or schedule a Gillybration could do it via a post to the group and we could all easily see that a new post was waiting for us to read.

I think it will facilitate communication a lot more than this forum...

Thought??

I'm a big Internet user but FB never got me hooked, Cathy likes it.

I think with the momentum already here it may be hard to convert, also new folks won't find it as readily as the forum, and many don't find this.

Need to hear from others.

Hi Lisa,
I do use FB for business and also personally. I just searched for the Villages of Gilchrist Gilbillies and sent a request. We use "Pages" for our high school reunions and it seems to work very well in that regard. Thanks for setting this up (even though I'm in the hinterlands of 'Fernandina')!
