We are tired tonight after spending time getting prepared for decisions like exterior colors, light fixtures , etc- but we are so excited to be here.

Sue and Dave were so nice when we just showed up at their front door. They made us feel so welcome and gave us lots of great advice.

Wish us luck as we go into the design meeting!
I'm so glad you saw my house! Feel free to go inside! Designing is such a mixture of great fun, huge time pressure and an impressively slick process. Everyone NOT in TV kept warning me what a pain it is to build, but TV has worked out all the kinks.

Hello! We have a downpayment on a lot in Gilchrist and a design meeting pretty soon. It is getting exciting. I am worried that there will be a lot of dust, so am anxious to see if other homes have been built on Resthaven Way. We are anxious to meet new folks too, and hope the transition will be easy! Look forward to activities and friends after the "settling in" period.

Welcome, SunsetSailors! We are in unit 209 on Amherst...won't be moving in until June. You picked a great village!

I have a question. Are we going to still use this means of communication or are we only going to be on FB?

Hi Everyone! The house is really taking shape. The exterior stucco has been applied and the drywall is done with the knock down finish applied. This next week should be interesting!!!

I'm on the next street over, Ridgewood, dust not a big issue most of the nearby land will be seeded with grass so that helps big time.

I'm here 6 weeks just hosed off the lanai dust first time.

What lot and model R U planning?

R U a sailor too!

If and until FB gets activity I think the main form of communication will be here.

Yes...this is an interesting question. I definitely think FB is an easier way to communicate...and an easier way to post pictures...and an easier way to notify people of events. Just my humble opinion.

Just had a lovely phone chat with Sharon Mills a soon-to-design Gilly from Unit 214. Made dinner plans for April in Northern Virginia. Can't wait! Sharon said she and Jim met many other Gillies when they came down to purchase their lot and like all of us was stoked by how friendly everyone was!

If I may make a suggestion, to post here and facebook might be too much, just a thought.

If anyone else is going into Gilchrist please stop by and give us a post...

I just purchased a lot on Touchstone Terrace in Gilchrist. My design meeting is April Fools Day! I can't wait (I think).
