I was told by the sales rep that this thread has become a significant source for people looking for lots and houses. I think the number of lots that got scarfed up within 24 hours of releasing 210 punches that ticket. And it's because everyone playing on this thread are such WONDERFUL people.

By the way . . . . you flew in and out of the Sanford airport versus Orlando. Have they got something going on there that makes it more attractive for traveling?

I googled Sanford Airport and found their flight routes, airlines servicing, etc. This might be helpful depending on where you are flying.

Default Sanford Airport

Really, the only reason we fly in and out of Sanford so much is that we get really cheap flights back to WV through Allegiant Air and they only fly out of Sanford. It's not a bad airport, just small but they use regional jets.

I would really rather drive to Orlando because you're on the Florida Turnpike all the way and it's just about an hours drive. The downside to the turnpike is that it is a toll road. The drive to Sanford takes you down 441 through all of the little towns and a lot of stop lights. And then County Road 46 gets you to the airport but it's a two lane road. The entire drive takes about 1.5 hours.

Another up side to Orlando is that you can take TV shuttle service from LSL to the airport for $30 per person. I've used that when getting my brother back to Charlotte and it's a really nice service. Unfortunately, the shuttle service doesn't go to Sanford.

It's nice living in a place where you have choices...unlike WV...lol

I can't believe you stopped in Tennessee and you didn't come by to see us and share your wine . . . or I mean OUR wine.

Carol,
You must be beyond excited to get to TV, close on your home and get settled in! It looks stunning from Randy's pics and I know it will be everything you've wanted and more because you created it!
Our closing is 75 days away, but we probably won't be down until March - still trying to coordinate our rebuild here and make sure we are on track for that.
Safe travels and wishing you only good things to come!
Rona

Carol--safe travels and happy packing. I' m sure that you are bursting with anticipation and excitement to see your new home. You should be so proud of it as from the progress we all got to see from Rusty' s pictures it looks gorgeous. I know I can't wait to see it and finally meet you. Get all your chores done by the first week in January so you have plenty of time to relax when we''re down there.

Thanks everyone for sending good thoughts, and I am indeed beyond excited to see the house! But I am truly excited to see them ALL and hear about plans for others! This is a fun and exciting time for us all and I am thankful for Rusty's pictures so we can all share in the anticipation!

Bob-how far are you from here? I knew it was TN, but thought farther east? You'll be. Lot closer in Gilly though!

Rona, hope all is on track for restoring your place after Sandy, and I pray you have not lost many things that were particularly special to you. Carry on, get it all done to your satisfaction, and we'll see you whenever you get here! Best of luck!

Smyrna, TN is south east of Nashville headed towards Chattanooga on I-24. We're about 2-3 hours east over by Knoxville on Tellico Lake. You should be about 3.5 hours from Atlanta or 9 hours from TV. We'll be two blocks from you in Gilly-Land
