Default Kitty's pool

Kitty

Your pool is absolutely lovely. We did another inspection of your construction earlier today. Really like the tile you picked for the pool and for your floors as well. You have spared no expense to make it a gorgeous home, and I know you will love it.

BEAUTIFUL JOB Jimbo. What kind of finish do you plan on?

P.S. . . . Thank you for pulling your T-Shirt down before the Pic was taken.

Beautiful!! I think I'll just come and live on your lanai when we fianlly move all our stuff down here!! It's been a few weeks since I've been on this thread and boy have things moved along! Everyone's houses are so stunning--can't wait to see them all when we're back down with the moving truck at the end of March. We've been up to our neck in boxes and clutter-finishing taxes and posting for jobs like crazy--might have a good lead as had a very lenghtly interview on Friday--everyone keep their fingers and toes crossed for me as I'm really getting tired of these cold and white North winters.

On the bright side, it was great to finally meet Teryl and see the Bishop's castle. Can't wait for Terry to get here, too.

Lee and Cion got grass today, A-4 has pretty stucco and a great house, Kitty's pool was getting screening, and as always lots of little worker bees doing all kinds of work and lots of houses.

Life is good.
Don't rub it in It's not so bad up North when you get an ice storm and it takes you an hour for a normal 15 minute drive!!
I just keep telling myself that we"ve got the house and we'll get there eventually--just keep a chair open for us at the pool.

Default The Lee's Lair

Well, your home has made astounding progress this past week. The outside was painted (they got plastered last week...), inside painted and most of the tiles laid. This house is gonna be another winner!!!

Default Daisey's Digs (The 3D's)

Really nice progress this week. The outer foundation block was laid and it would appear that once the rough-in plumbing and vapor barrier are installed you'll be ready for the concrete floor.

I also took the liberty of going into your bedroom to get a pic of your view of the pond...hope you don't mind!!!

Default PB101 (Reloaded)

Well, we had our first neighborhood pickleball game this afternoon at the Bradenton Rec Center. There was quite a crowd as we had Sir John & Lady Wendy (Junction29), Dave & Sue (The Flintstones), Lee & Nancy, Carol (HotRod) and 'lil ole me! I have to warn everyone that Lee & Nancy are ringers and have played in tournaments before but they did take it wasy on us (somewhat)...

Won a few and lost a whole lot more but I really had a good time!!

The only down side to the whole thing is that my butt muscles are really, really sore!!!

Oh yea. One other thing. If we get our group together we can actually reserve some courts at the rec center but we need a name. I suggested Wendy's Wacko's and Carol suggested Bits & Bobs. Anyone who's going to play have a suggestion????

Best of luck to you in your job search! We hope it goes well so you can hurry the heck up and get here!!!

When Jim and I get down there in May- we would love to join your group games. Of course you all will be pros by then. You can show us how it is really done I guess. Dave and Sue are our next door neighbors so they can give us some inside advice as to how to stay up to speed with this group!!

Sounds like a great time.

You guys are more than welcome to join. The more the merrier. Based upon the level of play today you definitely will not have much catching up to do..

If we had known you were playing today, we would have put on pom poms and cheered you all on. Not sure if we'll get around to pickleball, but I'm sure we'd make good cheerleaders.:BigAppl ause:

THe finish "naturale" is made by a company called Bona, their website says;

Bona Naturale is a waterborne commercial and residential hardwood floor finish. It is the next generation of wood floor protection that preserves the true natural look of hardwood floors. You get as close to an untreated look and feel as possible while still providing your floor with a durable surface.

Along with the elegant look and noticeably unique feeling underfoot, this finish has superb, Traffic-like durability, and because of its natural look, scratch marks are less visible.

It was shipped on Thursday, not easy to find but many professionals swear by it. It ain't cheap $140 G., need two

• Extreme low sheen level. Seamless touch-up on repairs
• UL Classified for slip resistance with a slip coefficient of friction >0.7
• Two-component, hardener.
