Welcome, welcome .. You love this site and these people .... So many recommendations, hints, encouragement ... We felt like we belonged with the first communication that we bought a lot in Gilchrist and now that we have met several, it is like home! We close Friday .... Come on by ...

Cars are being packed ... Hitting the road in the am ... Save space for the almost FROGS at the DW party......

Leaving Georgia .... Yee Ha. ( no offense to my GA friends....):MOJE _whot:

If you need a hand when you get here let me know, I'll then call Rusty.

Jimbo . . . . the rest of us have been hitting the driving range pretty hard. (I lied to you)
Bring your checkbook in the morning

It is so exciting to read the posts of our new friends on their way to their new life. We are very excited to spend our first week in our home March 31-April 7th. We are on alert for a posting of a Gilly/Fernandina get together during that week. Retirement comes in June and the days are dragging. Warm sun in March will be welcome. Chill me some Coronas!!!

Default Driveway

Got a driveway, sidewalk, and lanai floor today along with a good start on the interior tile.

Well, we did it!

Signed a contract today to build a pool and birdcage addition to the house. Really excited about this adventure. Should be ready by the first of June, or before.

First off, Jimbo . . . . . forget the Speed-O christening of your pool. I think the GilchristCruisers are going to beat you into the ground and I'm going to their house.

As for the driveway pour party . . . . . well I show up at the house this morning, concrete was already going down, and then the Dang Concrete Inspector Gal shows up asking to see my Permits. Turned out to be retaliation for the Painting Inspector stunt from the other day.

THIS IS A TOUGH CROWD. They actually get even

hi kitty, we are starting the same thing (for about the 12th time) and even though we have vast experience, the job never seems to end. Keep praying and if you need any advice, we are pros...not that we are experts though (lol).

Default The build has started!!

The Flintstones ( Dave and Sue) sent us exciting pictures today! We signed the contract a week ago and now we have stakes and footers being poured!!!

A-4 - maybe you, the Mayor, Flinstones, Jimbo ( if he can get away from his floors) and others can perform a Gillyland building blessing on our lot to make the process go smooth and keep the good spirits watching over us.

This is exciting- Have fun at the driveway party tomorrow.
