Welcome to the best neighborhood in TV. Of course, being the Mayor, I'm somewhat prejudiced. I truly don't think that you'll find a better set of neighbors anywhere. I do have to admit that we have quite a cast of characters up here but that's what makes us what we are! Can't wait to meet you!!!

I only hope that you're ready to party!!!

Default Gator v Golf Ball v Brit

I just had to post this pic of a mad Englishman attempting to fight a gator for a golf ball. Sir John hit a line drive off the tee on the Redfish Run exec course today and it headed directly for the water. Fortunately, it was hit with such force that it skimmed across the water and popped out of the water on the opposite side. Unfortunately, the ball hit a gator in the head on the last skip which upset said gator to a certain degree. Sir John, being the man that he is, decided to retrieve his favorite yellow golf ball from the edge of the pond with the gator in close proximity and looking for revenge. Lady Wendy was looking on hoping that the insurance was paid up and would pay off when Sir John was repaid by the gator for the konk on the noggin! I thought it would make a wonderful action shot and caught Sir John in the act of battling the gator for his errant ball. You just had to be there to really appreciate the whole adventure!

I've seen that Gator in that pond before. I've seen goldfish that were bigger than that Gator.

Where is section 218??? Hopefully, that was just a typo as there is no 218 in Gilchrist.

It sounds like you have been buying Goldfish from Jimbo, his are the only ones that are over 9ft (or so he says).

Even the Gators teeth looked about 2ft long when you are only a couple of feet away from it, i could even see the swelling on his head where the golf ball hit it - honest!

We'll show you a close up picture at the Gillibration tomorrow (Friday 8pm) at Evan's Prarie if you want to see its true size!

Default Dont forget the toast!!!

Dear all Greater Gillylanders,

Don't forget at the Gillibration at Evans Prairie, Friday 8:00pm, that at 8:30pm we are doing a toast to 'Absent Frieds' for all the Gillylanders who have gone home or have not got here yet.

If you are intouch with any fellow Gillylanders, remind them that they can join in the toast, whereever they are in the world and what ever time zone they are in.

8:30 Eastern Summer time, or whatever you call it here is the time of the toast

It would also be great if our fellow Gillylanders who did join us in the toast, who are away from their Gillyland home could post on this thread that they did so, which will remind us of just how many friends old and new we are missing.

We are two of the "absent Friends" and can't wait to be part of the neighborhood. We'll tip one at 8:30 EDT on Friday even though we'll be in Kansas.

My paperwork reads "lot 210, unit 218" so now I'm not sure where I will be living - LOL. Oh well, it will soon work out. I move in on June 5th/6th. I'll be there for the next "Gillybration".

I keep looking at all the stuff to do and have to pinch myself. Truly does sound like "DisneyWorld for Adults".

Bruce and I will make sure we toast at 8:30 for you and we would have surely been there if we were not supervising the loading of our FIRST moving truck....the next one loads on Thursday and we will be permanent and hopefully make most of the parties...We will miss you both and hope you come back in town real soon.

Marcy and Bruce
