Default Hi Everyone

Well that's it,

The Goodbybration is over and what a great night it turned out to be.

It is really great (nearly said 'Fabulous' then) that some of you 'Absent Friends' joined us in the toast and posted it on the thread.

That just shows everyone what a great, friendly and fun group we all are, with the sense of comaraderie, whereever we might be residing at the time.

As well as saying goodbye and the hugs and kisses, we had two presentations, one to our neighbourhood cleanup champion, Mike, who was awarded the 'Order of the Can' for his selfless devotion to the cleanliness of the neighbourhood when he is walking Beau.

Lady Wendy was supposed to read out the citation to Mike, but didn't bring her reading glasses and could'nt see a thing and when asked why she hadn't brought them replied "I can see the Wine Glass well enough to see when it needs refilling"

The Lady Mayoress stepped in and read the citation wonderfully.

The second one was to Hotrodgirl, who was awarded a security certificate to present to her new friend Mick, who saw first hand the craziness of this new neighbourhood.

We are trully in awe of this wonderful place, you will all be missed and we will be back as soon as we can

On Thursday, Janice and I hosted an 82nd birthday for the youngest Mum in Gilchrist, Sally. She turned 82 years old on May 9th and we actually surprised her with a party. I've attached some pictures to celebrate the event.

What a nice son to give mom a birthday party. Sally is sure a spry 82. Wish we could have been there.

We had our toast at the designated time. Not the same as being there but the anticipation brings a smile

Here is the photo our Villages agent took of our new home. We are on Regency, #2925 (210.65).

See you all soon !

Congrats on the new home. You're going to love it here. I do have to warn you that you have some suspicious neighbors on Regency & Euclid (A-4 Skyhawk & ChiefRose ). But don't worry too much, their wives are great!!!

Good luck now that you've found your home. I'll be joining you folks in Gilchrist the first week in June and can't wait. Hope your move goes smoothly.

I will be there on the 29th for two weeks. Big Bob is going to pick me up a Lake Sumter. If memory serves you had one of the sissy "Stingers" at my place and enjoyed it. I guess if it isn't that white lightning you guys from WV drink it isn't up to your standard.

Well...actually, this is pretty good news for me! When I arrive there permanantly at the end of June you won't see evidence of the massive amounts of toilet paper I'm bringing with me...I will be able to hold my head high. Be safe and return quickly!

Don't worry, we have anticipated that you might not want to be seen with a large load of toilet rolls again, so just to keep you going until you and Ed can get to Publics to buy an exra large quantity, we have placed a bag full by your front door - enjoy.
