You get a notch on your club for each golf cart you bean.

So true, all the UK balls are waterproof, not one of them gets soggy when it rains, just the players.

Wish we had known it never rains on the back nine we could have kept playing but the back was playing up as well

The flight is booked for the return, so now we are counting the days until we see you guys again.

A bit frightened about the new variation of hitting Golf Carts instead of the green, but I supposed experience players like His Governership and the Flintstones know what they are doing, so there must be a good reason for it.

Default Colonial English

[QUOTE=jimbo2012;699096]ANDY.............

Raincoats????

I guess those "American English" lessons R paying off, when U were here U called them "waterproofs"

keep up the lessons, that way folks here will think U live here for years.

Now as far Rusty, I told him time and again not to stand in front of a player.......but no his name is Rusty so he can do what he wants, screw the rules.

Anyway I missed him by at least 2"

:[quote]

Don't forget we couldn't find any 'American English' lessons, the class we ended up enrolling on was 'Colonial English for Intrepid Travellers' and what we didn't realise that the British Empire covered over 60 countries and as most still speak English the slang and dialects is simply bewildering.

Just for Clarification, Her Ladyship still had her 'Waterproofs' on, I was the only one with a 'Raincoat' on, so we are only half way there, but I suppose that is still progress.

As for Royal Ascot, we have a long standing agreement with Her Majesty for us not to attend because I don't like wearing top hats and Her Ladyship doesn't like wearing hats either (it spoils her hairdo)

Hope the Gilybration went well, we raised a glass at midnight (12pm), when we got in from the evening out for the birthday meal, then flacked out.
A very, very happy birthday Andy. Sorry to be so late in sending wishes, but I havent been on TOTV for a long time.

We are missing you and Wendy and Millie very much. We need you back in TV. Your flowers are looking beautiful. Good luck with the golf. I am still hitting away. I do belong to the Birdie club.
We are missing Gilchrist and we have only been gone 2 days! 7 weeks is a very long time.

So take care, see you soon. Love to you, Gayle and Mike

Mike and I left on Friday for our 7 weeks in Michigan with family and friends. I am missing TV very much and thought we should have just bought tickets for the kids to come and visit us! It will be a long 7 weeks. Mike will get golf in around his job. I will probably golf a little.

I am hoping that someone will keep the newss article in The Mix so that we can read it when we return. I am glad we are finally getting noticed as residents!

Thanks to Stan and Donna and any other helpers for taking over the golf coordination. It has been really nice for people to get together for golf each day.

Kitty, when we get back, I am coming over to see you. I have not seen you since you have moved in. I saw you first and last in Dec 2012 when we were in design. I met Emma and think she is most adorable.

Keep in touch. Will miss you all very much. Oh I already said that. Bye, Gayle

Looks like Sue and I are charter members of the "Cart Club".... All you have to do to gain entry is hit someone elses cart. The owner of the cart has to give you a dollar. I'm going to try and find a pin with a cart on it for us!

As for Jimbo also trying to "bean" me....I'm also going to try and find a little Smiley Face pin with the eyes "x-ed" out so he can form his own club. I will admit that I was in front of another player but in my defense I was about 20 yards ahead of him at about an 85 degree angle!!!! and he still almost got me.

Also, if anyone tells you that golf balls don't make a noise in flight they're totally full of do-do. That ball was buzzing as it grazed my left ear!!!

I like that idea but won't the change in weight throw off my perfect swing and accuracy???? In addition, as chronic as this is becoming I'd be afraid that I'd have no head left on the club due to too many notches being engraved!!!

With the Lady Govenerships luck (after all she found you and Gilchrist), it looks like you are getting that bit closer to buying that private plane.

Would it be for (cheap) hire for Gillylanders, with a discount for staff?

Do you think A4 would be happy to pilot it (we could use Brinkley as the runway) and what about putting Jimbo in charge of the maintenance crew?

Have a really great holiday and we look forward to seeing you again real soon

What about a crest to pin on the golf bag - a Gilchrist?
