Default Merry Christmas!!!

As I sit back on Christmas Eve 2012 I realize how very blessed I am to have such a wonderful spouse and the best neighbors in the world. In passing conversation tonight, someone mentioned that the Mayan calendar was obviously wrong. Another person pointed out that the calendar may have just meant the end of an era and the starting of another. What words of wisdom the director of the Admin Dept (Junction29) can come up with on short notice!!!

But I realized that he is totally correct. This is the end of an era so to speak what with all of us relocating to The Villages and starting afresh! I look forward to this new era with anticipation and excitement. I've met so many new, good friends and neighbors with many more who are yet to come. From my point of view, we're just getting started but what a start it's been!!!

So, from the mayor and all of his support staff...We Wish You a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Now all of you...get your butts down here and let's get this party started!!!

Default Lanai's, Garage Floors & House Cleaners

For all of you who wondered who did our lanai, garage floor & attic stairs, closet organizers, painter and house cleaners...here's the info:

House Cleaners: Done Right (highly recommended, we got their info from Janice's aunt) - Contact Bev @ 352-391-2783.

Lanai Painter: Concrete Designs by Woody - Contact Woody @ 352-454-4002

Garage Floor & Attic Stairs: Tim "The Toolman" Taylor - Contact Tim (he's listed on TOTV) I don't have his number.

Closet Organizers: Buzby's Closets - Contact Buzz Buzby @ 813-966-1186.

Painter: Tom Campbell - Contact Tom @ 352-430-1102.

I researched all of these guys on TOTV before I hired them and was very satisfied with each of them.

What a list - surprised you are sober enough to write a legible post.

Really excited to meet you guys when you get here and not just for the extensive wine celler you will be bringing

Good luck with the move.

To all our TOTV friends on this forum,
Sorry our Best Wishes for a wonderful holiday are a bit late. Now that Christmas Day has come and gone, we are hoping everyone had a joyous holiday wherever you are.
Unfortunately, my mother was again admitted to the hospital on the 24th in the middle of the night. Very, very weak.
However, we have had some very joyous moments too. Our son came home from Denver. I knew he was coming home for Xmas, but he surprised me by coming home Thursday for my birthday several days earlier than expected. His room wasn't ready as I have been using it for gifts, Florida packing, etc., but he didn't care. It is great to have him home for a week! Although he is out visiting friends more than he has been home. He just relocated in Septembet so he still has many friends here.
We also had a wonderful dinner with my sister and her family last night. We have an 18 month old grand-niece that is so full of life and wonder, she is just a joy to be with.

Right now the forecast shows 10 to 18" of snow possible starting Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon.

A4 and Jimbo, wishing you safe travels to TV.
At this point, Rich and I are still planning to fly down for New Years. Have a few contractors lined up a couple days for warranty work and solar tubes installed. Looking forward to meeting those which are there now.

All the best, Rich and Linda

Rich and Linda, Thank you for the update, I'm saying a prayer for your situation. Not sure where in the country you are, but my relatives in TN were expecting a blizzard. All the best for your travels next week and know that I look forward to seeing you at the NY party. Hope things go well with your mother...

Ugggghhhhhh...woke up this morning to sleet and ice! As a teacher, this is the kind of weather that gets school canceled so to have it occur on a non-school day is a huge bummer. But this time it's even more of a let-down because we were supposed to leave this morning to head down to TV for a couple of days! We MIGHT be able to leave later this afternoon and drive for a few hours...not really sure. Keeping our fingers crossed...the U-Haul is all packed!
