SO, WV... Tomorrow is the big day!
Are you sure you'll be able to make the closing with all that photographic work you have to do for the rest of the neighborhood?
Hope everything goes smoothly, your walk through is A-OK and you get all your new keys! Best of luck to you and Janice!!

This place runs like a well oiled machine and the designers make every effort to keep the process easy and successful! Hope to see you soon!

Oh my husband is so jealous that you're going to Biketoberfest--we have very good friends in Port Orange and got the first hand sights a few years ago. That's one of the reasons we picked The Villages--to be close too both coasts--you'll probably see us driving to our lot on Friday when we arrive--have a cold one ready Mary

Add my best wishes to those from HRG for a smooth and trouble-free closing tomorrow. You all going to be moving stuff right away or waiting a while? Yell if I can help a bit.

Default HotRodGirl Has Concrete!!!

Made a quick pass through the neighborhood this afternoon on the way to the bank to get the closing check.

HotRodGirl has a concrete foundation and her pool is poured. Good progress for three days I think. The block and mortor are on site and I'd bet she'll have walls tomorrow!! Then the fun begins. I'm going to try and get a pic or movie of the worker ants putting up the block tomorrow when we go for the walk through.

I'll post a few more ditties later tonight!

Rusty--Best of luck to you and Janice w/the move tomorrow. I went back to your first post and can't believe that your design meeting was July 9th and here it is September 26th and you're ready to move into a house--it's magic!

Hi Twin! We have closet organizers at the house on Friday so I'll be around. If you let me know what time you guys will be driving by your lot I'll put some cold ones and a bottle of white in the fridge and you can stop by and say "Hey!". I'm telling you that we're gonna have a great neighborhood!

Hi Everyone! Thanks for all of the good wishes for the walk through and close tomorrow morning. I went to the bank this afternoon and got the closing check. The lender didn't tell me the final amount until about 3:30pm and I made a mad dash so I wouldn't have to worry about being on time in the morning. I don't believe we'll have any problems since the lenders agent called day before yesterday and told us that the loan was back from the underwriters with no problem. When I was coming back from the bank this afternoon I drove by the house (of course) and noticed that TV had even cut the lawn for our home and the neighbor directly behind us whose home is also finished. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised but thought it was a nice touch to have everything looking good for the closing.

I agree with Twin that it seems like time has flown by since this thread was started on July 9th and here we are with 25 pages of posts and who knows how many views! I think it says something about the kind of people with whom we will be living.

For those of you who aren't here yet, patience...lol. You'll get here soon enough and the rest of us will be waiting for you with a cold one/glass of wine. Don't worry, we won't be partied out when you get here! For those of you who are just starting to build, patience...lol. The time will go by faster than you will realize. For those of us that are here...LET THE PARTY BEGIN!!!!

Seriously, the process has been relatively painless and the well oiled machine that we know as TV knows how to do business (at least most of the time).

I'll get pics of CalcTeachers & HotRods builds tomorrow when we go for the walk through.

HotRod & Twin...I'll try not to let the new house get in the way of my neighborhood watch and photographic duties!!!

Terp...we need to get together for drinks before you go back home.

A-4...ya better hurry up and get your butt down here!!!

Talk to y'all tomorrow!!!

Good luck to you WV and I SO look forward to meeting all the rest of you in
person! I know the build is just beginning, but I can't wait for it to be finished. CalcT- it's all about your start tomorrow along with WV's close! Look forward to your pictures! Best to both of you!
Everyone else, it's sooner than you think!

Trish, picking out a lot -- that is great news. Hope you are one step closer to froghood.

WVMtnBoy,
We have been following your journey since you first posted on TOTV. You have been a great inspiration, cheerleader - and let's not forget, photographer for more people than you know! Wishing you and Janice only good things as you begin the next "chapter"! Congratulations'
