A-4 was right about the Truman course being a really nice one. Very pretty and some really beautiful holes. This just may become one of my favorite courses. Roosevelt is supposed to be a little harder and that one also looks pretty nice. Can't wait to try it!!!

Have a safe trip, Carol. Sweetie and Rosie, take care of mommy! Wear your insulated undies, it is freezing cold here in Flintstone Land today. We are starting out in the 40's. A high today of only 57. That's cold enough to freeze your golf balls.

We are still packing and purging. Corvette sold yesterday. The house is starting to look empty. Today we bring donations to various places. All in all, we are getting through the process one step at a time. We should have started this process years ago.

Beau came north to help us out and get his Chevelle. He said, " I know this is morbid to say but, most kids clear stuff out after their parents die. I must say, it's a lot more fun doing it while you are alive!" He always tells it like it is! It has been fun going through boxes of memories.

Soon, we will be ready to hit the reset button in The Villages!

Me who else, I would never pay the rip off contractors here, most doing sub-par work

I have a guy that has been helping me on the project that may be interested in doing for U at a very reasonable cost, I know he's capable.

I'll be done in 2-3 weeks then he's avail.

Don't need your insulated undies down here today. Must have been over 90 this afternoon. But we managed to stay cool in the pool.

Glad you are making good progress going through your stuff. It's an interesting process and just think of how much easier it is on your kids now. Tell them with so little left to do when you die they can have that much more time to party.

Ready to welcome you back, as well as all the other summer Gillys. The old "hood" is too quiet.

Default Checking in

Just checking in to say I have arrived safely with Rosie and Sweetie in tow to the Atlanta area. Easy peasy drive today, just 6 hrs with stops, and I am enjoying a nice glass of Malbec with a little Brie cheese! On to Louisville tomorrow, then Chgo on Sunday. Miss everyone already and can't wait to finish up all my tasks in the frozen tundra and head back down to Gillyland!!
Hope you are all having fun playing golf and pickleball and staying cool in the pools!!!

Carol:

So sad that you left prior to my flying down next week. Hope the rest of your trip continues to be safe. Take care and we will see you in a few months.

Default House Closing Today

Well its official - Ann Marie and I sold the house today. We now live at the Jersey Shore and hopefully get to spend more time in TV when it is cold up north. Maybe you caught the "Today Show" on NBC this morning which was broadcast from Seaside where we now live. It was a regular media event with the cast of the Today Show and the NJ Governor. Unfortunately, it was a cold and rainy day to kick off the Memorial Day Weekend.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend. Looking forward to seeing the gang when I fly down next week to accept delivery of all the boxes we had shipped south.

Can't tell you how much we look forward to "watching" our house come to life! And in addition to meeting so many of you at EP when we had our design appointment 2 weeks ago, we are really excited we can continue to learn about you all through TOTV. Returned home to Pittsburgh to continue the cleanout of 36 years and 5 kids worth of stuff. We also are very happy to be doing it ourselves and reliving the memories of a lifetime while we still can! Can't wait to get there, but still waiting for our house to sell. Think I'd rather be enjoying your 90 degree temp instead of our 45 degrees right now with freeze warnings tonite. It's hard to believe.

Glad you are keeping us posted. Have a safe trip. Beau went to Chicago last night. He is visiting a friend before finishing the drive south with our car. Frost on the grass this am. Had to turn on the seat heater in the truck this morning. Ugh.

Looking good!

Floor poured today and blocks delivered. Walls will probably go up Monday if they are working. Shawn and Feddie, join us tomorrow at Gilchrist Pool at 5:00pm. Meeting the neighbors on Dafoe.
