So much to learn, and reading prior posts would help. Moving with parents, which are probably not 55, One can buy a home and live here under 55.

They’re in their 60s. Everyone keeps thinking that we’re not allowed to move there. It’s pretty funny honestly. We’re buying a home in the villages.

I’m excited to try my best to fit in the community and meet some new people, I have a blast talking to older people because they have some great stories and insight.

I’m much more of a listener than I am a talker and older people seem to love that, so I don’t think I’m going to have any problems.

I’m just excited for the interesting people I’m going to meet.

It’s the perfect place for that in my opinion, regardless of the input I’m receiving haha.

I'm also looking forward to meeting new people and hearing their stories. This seems like the perfect place for that!

As someone in their mid-twenties, I'm grateful for the opportunity to move there. Is there any information I should know about living in The Villages at my age?

Thank you!
Although lots of residents here are 55+, you’re going to be able find others your own age here. I constantly see people in their 20s/30s at the pickleball courts each week, and on the golf courses as well. I think you are going to have a great time here (personally, I would have jumped at the chance to have moved here prior to turning 55). Enjoy this next chapter in your life.

My parents wouldn’t move if I didn’t want to go with them and I’m super happy to, I think the villages is one of the best places in the United States to move to.

Especially with the safety and sense of community.

I really couldn’t think of any other place in the United States that checks as many boxes.

Thank you! And I think so as well! I definitely have to give pickleball a shot!

You are wrong. You certainly can buy. Anyone over 19 can buy in TV.
As far as the neighborhood pools, nobody will stop you. I think you would prefer family pools, where you will meet younger people living or visiting. Neighborhood pools are full of old people walking or standing in the pool, not swimming.
There are lots of walking paths down south. Hog eye is 3+ miles, absolutely beautiful, sun and shade with bench along the way. Family pool and restaurant. My kids and grandkids absolutely love visiting here.

Considering Middleton is all ages, you shouldn't have any problems meeting others your age. Also, many of the workers are younger and at the end of the day, TV is a blast.
