I think the entertainment is better than ever!
I was never crazy about the Lighthouse Restaurant!
What's wrong the the exec courses north of 466?

Sounds like the trend is less and less in TV is actually owned by TV.

Well it makes sense for Morse. I am sure that when he sells off these operations he is not only getting cash for the sale, but I'm sure there are probably some sort of on-going franchise or rental fees going back to the family for the business to operate within TV. He's taking people off his payroll and putting them on other people's payrolls.

Also he might not be selling all of these businesses but keeping ownership and leasing out the operations to independent businesspeople.

For example, it is a popular myth in TV that he sold off radio station WVLG which is not true. If you read the ownership report in the FCC data-base you will find that the Morse family still owns WVLG but the station is under an LMA (lease-management agreement) with the group that publishes the Daily Sun. The Morse family & their partners retain ownership of the station and the responsibility for the station's license yet collect a handsome rental fee from it without the cost of salaries and benefits for employees.

I think that gets right to the issue, nottavillager. You hit the nail on the head, particularly as build-out draws closer.

Which was sold, the villages airport shuttle out of sumter landing, or village airport van's door to door service?
