As other posters have stated, pick up the Rec. News on Thursday from any rec. center. If you go on The Villages - Florida's Friendliest Retirement Hometown - New Home Sales, Home Resales, Build Your Dream Home, Brownwood Paddock Square, you can look at this past Thursday's rec news edition online. I don't golf, but would like to take up pickleball if I am ever lucky enough to become a Villager one day. I have taken Walk Away The Pounds for Beginners class on previous visits to TV, and I have really enjoyed this class. I hope to take this class again when I visit TV in a few days. If you like current affairs, check out the Civil Discourse club which meets on Monday mornings. The number of clubs, classes and activities in TV is truly amazing. Enjoy your visit, and maybe we will meet on one of the golf cart trails next week. I will be the one pulled over to the side of the golf cart trail checking the map LOL.

If you want to try your hand at line dancing, there is a very active community here, with lots of classes for all levels.

There are two modern 32 lane bowling centers. Both in or near Spanish Springs.

Most new to TV get very involved in clubs and group activities because being retired means "what do I do now" .My hubby and I worked such long hours that hobbies were not a priority in our lives. Shopping, cleaning ,yard work and family ate up so called free time. Now as retired folks we are learning to work as a couple again. The first few months are deciding what goes where, and what do next, what do we still need , where do we buy it,or where the heck is our......in this house! Learning the area in and around TV ,making new friends wherever we go, riding around finding new places to see, shop and eat are the first baby steps. Being in the house 24/7 ( together) can be a difficult adjustment for both of you. Take time to realize you both need ( me) time carved out for each if you daily or weekly. Friends, movies and an individual hobby will help .
Remember that you have not been this close( always there) to your significant other since ?...
