With understanding comes caring. So, one assumes you don't really know or understand, for whatever reason (faith, political, financial, etc).

There is a good chance that 10 years from now that 50% of all new car, truck, and golf cart sales in the US are ELECTRIC vehicles.

What the continued demonization of Al Gore proves to me is the power of the lobbyists for BIG OIL and the US automobile manufacturers. It also makes me hope that young people are educated enough to worry about how Climate Change will adversely affect their lives.

Yes.
Didn’t really notice, but I'll take your word for it.
So, are you inferring that non-conservatives are smarter than conservatives, because that's what it sounds like? Personally, I don't think anyone has that level of control over the weather .... yet. 🧙*♂️

Al Gore is doing a good job of making failed predictions without any help from Big Oil. His buddy John Kerry has to be the biggest hypocrite of our time, flying around in a private jet while railing on the masses to make sacrifices. Once you open your eyes, you can't unsee it.

I like to point out the problem is that the US and the world has to get serious about stopping Global Warming - and the US especially is NOT making it a priority. It is hard to fix a problem when too few people are admitting a problem exists.
.........What do people think will happen NEXT summer? Likely the Gulf and Ocean waters will be at a NEW record higher, so the Hurricanes will be stronger. The Villagers will STILL mostly be driving gasoline CO2 and methane belching golf carts. Their HIRED polluting lawn cutters will be speeding around in gas trucks and they will be mowing the lawns with CO2 and methane belching GAS lawn mowers. Nothing here will change. And 80% of TV Landers will NEVER make the connection between their lawn mowing ARMY and the more intense KILLER Hurricanes each year.
We set standard in environmental protection, we set standard giving aid to world, we set standards taxing. We set standard of creating problems when have no control over. When rest do world catches up with us on environmental issues and meet our standard then we can discuss climate. Until then we are wasting money.

......Closer to home - The Gulf of Mexico is now at a record 86 degrees in spots. That has provided the engine that has powered the latest hurricanes Francine and Milton. One reason to CARE is that Francine killed over 220 people and counting and Milton is 17 deaths and counting.
.......With the Gulf at record temperatures, it is possible to have a 3rd killer Hurricane this year in Florida. And what about next summer? The increased population of the Earth will mean more methane and CO2 produced by industry, coal burning, automobiles, and gas golf carts. Which means more reflected HEAT NEXT YEAR.
.........There is one positive government action going on. We don't need coal and natural gas to generate our electricity - we are the sunshine state. In California during the day 100% of that states electricity comes from natural sources, wind and solar. At night some energy comes from storage batteries. Overall, California has produced a 30% increase in natural energy in the last year. And note to Florida as the Sunshine state we could do better. wonder what holds us back?

Some will deny there is a problem even when they are treading water.
And why are they so po'd at Gore? The message was right, even if the time frame wasn't quite right on the money. I'll bet if someone from their camp said it first, they'd be all for going green.
Just my most HUMBLE opinion. 🙂

Shouldn’t be allowed to build on barrier islands or with in 5 miles of coast. And if you do don’t expect insurer to insure you or government to bail you out of you poor choice and bad decisions.

Default Thank you

I applaud jimjamuser for his informative and helpful comments abt climate change

No one has mentioned the number of deaths and negative health impacts from climate change and greenhouse gas emissions

For example: Interesting to read the GWU statistics and analysis of the increased number of trips to the emergency room for asthma and respiratory issues in young children living next to highway versus those children who live in another part of the city not next to highways

Also heat related illnesses and climate change migration and arthropod illnesses. Increased number of mosquito borne illnesses due to mosquitoes not going into diapause and inhabiting areas further north See EEE deaths this year

Recent hurricanes are an example of more extreme and more frequent storms. In 2023 there were 28 billion dollar storms compared to 4 in 2000

For more info on health impacts there are some excellent graphics on CDC website

No. She is not a scientist. Nobody should listen to her because she has no expertise or knowledge in climate dynamics, radiative transfer, multivariate analysis, satellite data processing, climate modeling, numerical weather prediction, boundary layer physics, turbulence, data homogenization, cloud modeling, precipitation processes, etc. If she is your hero then I feel sorry for you.
