I just read this entire thread.

Why do they do it? Nobody likes to see it. I guess denial has to be the explanation.

I have never fully recovered from what I saw once on a cruise. I was standing on a high deck from which I looked down at the top of some guy's head. Well, this guy had completed his comb over by painting the top of his head black with something that looked a lot like shoe polish. It was a sight to behold.

You know, for some reason, I feel compelled to make one of those shameless little confessions that I make here from time to time. I just logged on and I am getting ready to log right off so I won't hear you making fun of me.

And now, I just gotta tellya. You know what I do like? Well, sort of. Well, maybe more than sort of. . .

I like it when bald guys have gray hair and they just go right with the bald on top thing and would not dream of combing over but then they grow a gray ponytail.

Boomer, Born to be Wild I guess

Oh, my gosh Sam. Thank you. I thought I was the only one. I keep trying to talk Mr. Boomer into it, but he just keeps looking at me and smiling indulgently. He's probably holding out for the Harley.

I like the pony tail look, too. In fact, I LOVE dear old Willie Nelson. Man, I think he is sooooo sexy for as old as he is. Old? OMG...I bet he's not far from my age... :dontknow:

Anyway, every time I see Willie...I melt....

Ok, ok...no comments... ;D

So barb, who said Boomer was classy?

I bought Mr. Boomer 50 shares of HDI for his 50th birthday. They later changed the symbol to HOG. It went up, split, went up again. Loved the ride. We got the annual report which was a thing of beauty. Heck, half those guys at Sturgis are CPA's.

Sold the stock in 2006 to put the cash in one of his expensive hobby funds. And he sure would love a Harley.

(I keep trying to get Mr. Boomer to get an inexpensive hobby, like perhaps carving polar bears out of soap. But it's not working. You know, he could at least grow a ponytail.)

Girls, darn it. I am having too much fun with this ponytail thing. But I have to get some sleep.

Barb, just give it some thought.

Ohmygosh! Just tried to send this to print and got the red thing and looked and saw that Brightspot likes ponytails, too. What have I wrought? Wrote? Written? Started? I love it. Shameless confessions all around.

Boomer

Sam,

I was just getting ready to log off when it occurred to me that when you started this thread you were talking about John McCain's comb over.

Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!

What if he is reading this?

What if he loses the comb over?

What if he grows a ponytail?

Then do we have to move this to the political thread?

Boomer

Ok, my 2 cents....and confession.....(shhhhh)....Ed's hair was longer than mine when we met 36 yrs. ago. And I LOVED IT!! .....Ladies, I vote the ponytail back into STYLE! Hub just laughs! huh! But guess what, their hair is too thin, too!! Like mine!......loved it then and always imagine Ed with it... lol......My ponytail hunny! COMB OVER???!!!! LOL OMG! What are you guys thinking??.....No offense to my comb over friends, of course... but heck, get that crap evened out!!! Wait a minute, shame on me!! Who am I to talk??!! I've been doing my own hair for 20 years. Maybe thats why I look weird, but at least I don't part my hair at the ear! This is too funny! Yes, we had a bike years ago, and we loved it. Harley, WHAT?? Harley, WHAT?? Loved the quiet smooth comfortable Honda 650 custom, circa 1979........... Those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end.........YEAH RIGHT!
