I agree. The product, "Balance of Nature", is advertised entirely by testimonials where people who use the product say they "feel better". But, apparently, that is enough to convince other people to buy it. That is the power of advertising.

Drug companies that tout the wonders of their drug followed by all the ways it can harm you.
If your doctor does not put you on the best drug for you, why are you still with him/her? |

I agree, but how do you know if your doctor has you on the best drug? Some doctors don't keep up with the latest treatments, or they are paid to recommend something else. Also, they often don't know when an expensive drug goes generic. My PCP told me that a different blood pressure drug would cost $300, but, in fact, it was only $3. Another example is "Gentle Cure" for skin cancer. It is advertised on TV, but I don't think many dermatologists even mention it because they don't offer it as an alternative to surgery.

by just changing one word, a near synonym: my primary care physician seems to be high on drugs. |

You figured it out! You have put your priorities in order and realize that there is more to life than money. You have realized that money doesn't buy happiness, but according to some~ moving to 16 different houses in The Villages, because you have ants in your pants and are searching for the elusive dream home....always with a pool, waterfall and a monthly trip to Trader Joes in Gainesville may fill a deep psychological and money oriented need. Just think how MUCH $$$$$$ you've saved in closing costs, gas, stock trading fees, while ENJOYING YOUR WONDERFUL LIFE. I know I'd like you, just in how you speak of LIFE☆ |

I would be the last person trying to impress someone. Just saying you can live here and don’t have to be a millionaire.

Right. Here's the way the law is written:
"The driver of a vehicle which is stopped at a clearly marked stop line, but if none, before entering the crosswalk on the near side of the intersection, or, if none then at the point nearest the intersecting roadway where the driver has a view of approaching traffic on the intersecting roadway before entering the intersection in obedience to a steady red signal may make a right turn, but shall yield the right-of-way to pedestrians and other traffic proceeding as directed by the signal at the intersection, except that municipal and county authorities may prohibit any such right turn against a steady red signal at any intersection, which prohibition shall be effective when a sign giving notice thereof is erected in a location visible to traffic approaching the intersection. 316.075.1.c.a Traffic control signal devices Chapter 316 Section 075 - 2012 Florida Statutes - The Florida Senate That "as directed by the signal at the intersection" says it right there that if you are making a left turn you have the right of way and you don't have to stay in the left lane when you turn. You can turn left to the right lane. The "signal" doesn't say anything different. |

Of course. UpNorth, our suburban real estate tax bill had a line item for Park District, Library, etc. It doesn't matter how often I don't go shoot hoops or don't check out books. The bill is the same. It's what keeps the community nice. Bonus: When you sell your home, other people want to live in that community.

Opinionated? That's what this thread is about. And I am sure that some people share SOME of my opinions.

Volleyball, water volleyball, badminton, tennis, paddle tennis, softball, soccer, archery, track and field, swimming, pool and billiards, bowling, basketball, air hockey, and air rifle. Not pickles-ball because it is too hard on the arm and knees (on hard court, not wood) and the sound of the, so called, ball is irritating to anyone with normal hearing. ......A plastic ball for a plastic sport. And rip up those golf courses because of too much chemicals on greens, waste of water, water of space, lack of exercise, and replace them with outdoor parks and walking trails. There that should increase my popularity.
