I complain that there should be a discount to amenity fees for veterans that live here over 10 years.

LOL. Zero logic. It's okay that tennis is hard on the arm and knees (and same surface), but let's just ban PB bc you don't like the sound or the ball material? Ooookay. And ban golf bc YOU think open spaces is a better use of the property in spite of the fact that the vast majority of Villagers play golf. Again LOL.

I could complain about controversy except that can be the lifeblood of a forum. Now about knee injuries and arm injuries in the sports of tennis and pickleball. Tennis and pickleball may have some similarities like being played on similar surfaces (asphalt and sometimes wood, inside gyms). But, pickleball is harder on the knees and arms because of the DISTANCE differences caused by the smaller court of the pickleball game. In pickleball the ball gets to an opponent quicker so there is LESS time to react. Therefore, the knees and the arms must TWIST awkwardly OFTEN to hit the ball. Also, there is more lunging and DEEPER bending of the knees when trying to hit a ball that you have little time to track off of your opponents racket. With most shots in tennis, you have more time to get in a good comfortable (less injuries) position to hit it. In addition the sound of hitting a tennis ball is more satisfying!

The only rules are 1) no complaining about complainers, 2) no political complaints, 3) no complaining about TOTV, and 4) no complaining about the OP.

I’ll have mine in a little bit, but feel free to start us off.

If you practiced what you preach might see some more people agreeing with you.

But alas.

We were visiting with Our oldest in Greenville SC. Apparently fair amount of Clemson and Furman staff and students went to the game.

As a fundraiser it’s entertaining. As baseball there’s no rules.

Kind of like going to see the globe trotters, but for a good cause.

So complaint still stands couldn’t get tickets for Bananas vs Party Animals fundraiser

Good luck they all seem to get sold out well in advance. I’m Savannah banana fan I have shirt and hat.

I have s 2012 Yamaha electric. The YRDE model. I get two years max from the best most-expensive 6 lead-acit batteries. Plus I just bought a new engine for over $1k. I like the way it picks up and moves around. I hear the battery boys will replace it with a lithium-ion battery but that's pricey and I'm not sure I want to keep it much longer. I guess I could take the battery with me when I buy a new one.
For now though, it seems like I'm throwing good money after bad.

I complain that we don’t get senior citizen discounts in the Villages. Oh wait, never mind, we are almost all senior citizens.

This is such a strange phenomenon here in Florida. I've seen it in the southeast of the state as well. People stop around a full car length away from the car in front of them, at red lights. It makes the lines appear SO insanely long. In Boynton Beach, that line can go all the way back to the previous traffic light, when it's rush hour during snowbird season.

Why does everyone do that? I mean okay, you don't want to sit bumper-to-bumper when it's hot and someone's car exhaust is rippling the air at your windshield. But 2-3 feet between cars should be reasonable enough, no?

That's a really neat complaint. I can wrap around it. It's not a big deal, but it can be frustrating when you're "just this close" to the left turn lane, and the people in front of you refuse to pull up so you can get into that lane.

We tried to order online at Outback for curbside pickup, and I couldn't get the location to work. So I drove down to their restaurant, only to discover that this was one of the locations they were closing - and it was closed forever. We hadn't been there for over a month so we don't even know /when/ it happened, that month.

It was a decent place to get dinner on our usual "better than fast-food" rotation.

Outback has moved to 5558 Seven Mile Dr, Wildwood, FL 34785, on Rt. 466A near Lowes. They have a new building.

Nowhere near us. The food would be cold by the time I got it home. So - no more Outback for us. Very sad. When we lived in Connecticut, we were only three blocks behind the main road and could walk to Outback (and to Big Y Supermarket which was in the same parking lot).
