I bought 54 acres of land in rural Tennessee..partly to keep it in the family and partly in case of disaster...

Since I have been in The Villages (4 years), the longest power outage has been fifteen minutes. I do have a few cases of water, lots of canned goods, and always keep the car gassed up. Not a prepper, just using common sense.

How about those folks who buy gold because money will be worthless?

Most are just very gullible and let any paranoid persons statements into their head and then build on the thought in a negative way. Crazies will rant and rave to anyone that will listen. More level headed folks will just shake their head and move on. Those gullible folks are then left with the rantings of paranoid folks and no one calling them out so they attach themselves to the loud mouths.

Borjo, most people on this planet have no idea of what you are talking about. There are very few who even want to think about it (other than the natural disasters such as tornados, hurricanes.....etc. We are preppers and we get it. Don't waste your time trying to convince people about anything else that may occur. Bravo to you for being prepared!!!

What??? If the worst happened the neighbor would not be coming over with his hand out -- his hand would have a gun in it and he would be coming over to take what you have, over your dead body if necessary.

I will break it down for those that are confused.

Supplies for two weeks = NORMAL
Supplies for a year. = PARINOID

No need to argue, it's simple as the above.
