Could it be the case that some people really believe that owning guns porvides a buffer against the tryanny of govt run amok? Could it be that some feel that there may be a need in the future to protect and defend their family after the collapse of order due to political upheavel or natural disaster. For those who have these concerns, riducule and deamonisation will only highten their instinct to resist any change.

A government run amok though would have weapons that no militia like group could really defend against unless you are deep in the Everglades, high in the Rockies, or down deep in some tunnel system.

There just does not seem much logic in that argument.

The terrorist groups in the Middle East are doing that right now. I pray we don't have to face killers like them in this country. God help us if Terrorist Militia groups in this country become strong enough to kill those of us with a different point of view.

It doesn't need to be logical to be sincere and deeply held .

That's true but lawyers, lobbyists like those of the NRA, and politicians should be held to the standard of logical arguments based on facts.

What happened is, stores selling knives now ask for proof of age before selling any type of knife. I think the buyer has to be aged over 18.
I do think that knife crime has been rduced now here in the UK, but sadly gun crime is on the rise!!
Oh, and i can not buy more than 2 small packs of headache medicine at any one time!
