My opinion varies on a few points in the OP's message. But one thing I've often wondered as well, and no one else replied to this point, is why are the "big boy" stores the only ones that certain states allow to do business? I believe that Walmart is the biggest employer in the world, (I could be wrong?) and with that kind of power, be it economic or political, are allowed to do business while the little stores languish under these biased sanctions.
Is Walmart, Target, etc.., the know all, see all, only omnipotent protectors from the virus as you shop stores?
Have you been in a Walmart lately? It is filled with disgusting people. I may get grief over that statement but you know it's true. Something about that store seems to attract the pick-um-up truck with a camper in the bed that parks there for weeks. Yet Walmart's safer that Mom and Pops grocery store?
I don't think so.

Are they stopping only Christian churches or mosques and synogoges as well?

Ask this guy, he's one that was complaining, I posted what the sheriff said exactly. We're not telling you not to worship, we're just telling you where and how.

30,000 and counting with yesterday our deadliest day. That number may seem fine to you but let's make that all of your relatives and close and distant friends and everyone you ever worked with, they are all gone. Glad to hear with that kind of loss you do not find that serious.

Over reaction? Not as deadly as we thought? Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of people who have suffered and died from the virus. I bet you’re one of those people who are not following all the guidelines to stay well and are oblivious to how bad it is.

OP says " let the shooting of the messenger begin". In the days when this type of thing actually happened messengers often lied rather than put their lives in jeopardy. So it is no wonder to me that information and it's source are double/triple checks. Slows the decision making process. So, who is right, the one that says " he who hesitates is lost" or the one who says " look before you leap" ? No piece of advice is correct for every situation. Only the Monday morning quarterbacks get it right. And even than not 100% right.

Amen! I am SO sick and tired of selfish, arrogant people who think their almighty right to do exactly what they want, exactly when they want, overrides any concern whatsoever for the well-being of anyone else. I suppose the OP thinks it's just the flu, or maybe a hoax. And there are covid clusters that have been traced back to church services. Does God not hear us when we pray at home? Is an online church service not acceptable in God's eyes? As was already stated to the OP, you may have the right to jump off a bridge, but you DON'T have the right to take as many as possible with you! And my THANKS to nurses, doctors, and first responders, for risking their lives every day to help and protect us!

Apparently the difference is not understood between revolution against a tyrant and a deadly pandemic that continues to kill largely-elderly people in our very own cities and towns.

It’s called common sense for the common good - and you are calling that a bad thing? SMH...

WALMART like other businesses are ordered to sell only food items at this time.
I agree with you entirely. However, only in some states can Walmart sell only food and medicine. Here the stores are open all the way through, at least they sure were two days ago.

Even the messenger is entitled to an opinion...however stupid it may be. If the Pope says mass on Easter to an empty basilica, there is likely good reason for it (and we were up at 5 AM watching). If you want to die you can do so, but many of us want to live to see our great grandchildren. A little protection is necessary because people will not do what they should do many times, no matter who else they hurt. You can call it freedom...I can call it stupidity and selfishness...and so it goes.
