So going to Disney tomorrow, tank at 1/4. Sams, had 6-7 cars per pump. Every station had line’s of cars waiting to get in. I traveled down to WaWa’s, hoping less of a line. Each car only took less than 5-10 minutes. Lawn guys were the only ones getting more than 5 gallons of gas. Who sits in a line for 15 minutes for a few gallons of gas. It’s the TP mentality all over again.
People have not changed. Panic, to heck with others is sadly normal we see and continue to see it all the time.

According the the news. last night 5/11/21, it is better in Florida than else where.

The,"good old days," I remember the first oil embargo. We lived in an apartment, no option to fill gas cans. I had an air cooled VW the tank is roughly 10 gallons. As I recall the gas stations, directed by government would only sell you on alternate days based on odd or even plates. Oh and they decided you must buy 10 gallons at a time.

May, or may not help. In the past they gave priority to supplying the rest stops on the parkways.

A typical car by design does around 300 miles to the tankful of gas.

Socialism, a conspiracy to push the electric car agenda, the Russians?? Why don’t we put the blame squarely where it belongs with the pipeline company who has not heeded any of the warning to protect there system from something like this . We have seen these things before from power companies out west that don’t take the proper measures to protect massive fires , In Huston again a failure of computers causing so much hardship recently, and why does this happen it’s because all these companies can pass there mistakes on to the consumers that are suffering there mistakes

yeah, that is correct. Texas wanted deregulation and to control their own destiny so they disconnected from the grid. It took them weeks to fix the problems - My sister in Houston never lost power as she is on a protected grid with a hospital but still got a 2500 charge from the power company as everyone shared in the 'experience'. crazy

JUST heard on Radio news - the affected Colonial pipeline company was using OUTDATED MICROSOFT software to protect againt hackers. Smart.... if confirmed, they (private company) deserve the loss due to lack of due diligence. But.... now the eastern half of the country 'suffers'. Shame.

Yep, they were using an old, outdated and vulnerable version of Microsoft Exchange and were warned a year ago by the US government of the exploits but they chose to ignore it.

Sounds like class action time....

Gas Buddy reports 1,000 stations in the Southeast have no gas. I would say a major panic has been provoked and by our "friends", the Russians.

And yet the tanks at the Colonial Pipeline holding areas are full. Plenty of gas - it is the distribution network that is affected. With the cutback on travel over the pandemic, these tanks have stayed full.

What one could conclude is the collusion of the media and too many politicians is to keep Americans afraid any way they can.

Reviewing this morning's map of so called outages...FL..2.8%....NC 4.2%....etc. Dwelling on those "running dry" VS the other 95% that are still operating.

No insight into expectations....only reporting that which will support their agenda.....keeping us afraid and dependent/beholding to government to rescue us.

How about reporting availability status with outages as the exceptions?

Nah....never happen.

Well, that's a bit disingenuous. No, it doesn't go "through" Florida. But, it does indeed supply Florida.

My generator runs on propane.

The Florida lemmings are at it again, they created their own gas shortage. Florida doesn't get their gas from the pipeline, they get it directly from oil ships from Texas, and other southern ports. SMH

That’s not surprising! The incompetent management at many corporations try to cut back, and “save” money by defunding IT security. That’s similar to incompetent politicians defunding the police.

T.J. Maxx foolishly used WEP for their WiFi security, long after WEP could easily be hacked in less than one minute, by a hacker in their parking lot. As a result of the management incompetence and reckless disregard for IT security, thousands of customers credit card information was stolen by the hacker.

If anyone is fired, it probably would be the general IT workers, instead of the incompetent and reckless management, who are responsible for the security breach that could have been easily prevented.

Well, they were warned of the exploit last year by the government cybersecurity people. Someone made the decision NOT to upgrade and/or update.

I am in government computer work right now. I actually did all my updates department wide yesterday. So someone ignored a recommendation.

Microsoft Outlook is now external through OWA - not hosted at the site. It's been over 2 years since those systems were implemented, so my guess is that they may not have updated anything since about 2018.

A 12 gallon minimum purchase will help end that behavior.
