So you'd want to ensure that the gas-guzzling pickups and SUVs get plenty of gas, but the people who have compact cars that actually use less gas per mile, just run out (since many of them only have 10 gallon tanks). And that also means no lawnmowers, no tractor-mowers, no golf carts, no gas trimmers, no 2-5-gallon plastic gas containers unless you risk an explosion in your garage by storing 3-5 of them.

I'm thinking more of a 10-gallon MAXIMUM purchase for anyone coming in with a passenger vehicle, golf cart, pickup, with or without a plastic gas container.

Commercial vehicles and RVs can have a 20-gallon maximum.

The object is to use LESS gas, not hoard more.

No, the object is NOT to have cars making long lines to get 3 gallons of gas, nor driving around wasting gas going station to station hoping to find some. I remember the Arab oil embargo well. Idiots were following tanker trucks around hoping that they were going TO a delivery and not returning FROM one. There were no cell phones and no internet, so people drove around just looking for a gas station.

If you have a 10 gallon tank, you can bring a 5 gallon (approved) container and fill that as well. Gasoline starts to vaporize at 140F, it's ignition point is 495F. I hope your garage is not that hot!

I’m a fuel burner coming from 42 years in the racing industry and my wife working for Exxonmobil.

I’m wondering if everyone had electric vehicles tomorrow how would all that power be generated without burning fossil fuel and once we’re stuck with electric and using it like no tomorrow what is the expected price of a kWh once you have no choice but to plug in.

They won’t fly airplanes on electric in this century and heavy trucks are very limited on mileage on electric
