I understand the Village mentality in hoarding TP, paper towels or gas. They want to stock up and then get back in the bubble and just weather the storm. It’s the easiest thing for us old retirees to do. And probably the best thing to do.

It's already up, as of earlier today. Thanks to all the hoarding though, millions of people who would normally only get gas when they were running low, ran low, and now can't get any gas. There will be people who can't get to work, along the east coast, because they depend on their cars. There will be Uber drivers who might have given those workers a ride, except THEY're out of gas too.

Landscape companies who rely on gasoline to power their equipment, might have to tell a few of their customers "sorry - no gas, can't mow your lawn this week."

This is mostly because of hoarders. Especially in Florida.

Will trade TP for gasoline........ Looks like the golf cart will start seeing a lot of mileage on it.
You can get gas for the golf cart at the Villages Golf Cars. Also the Wawa on 441 near Walmart and Aldi's has ethanol-free gas and 93 octane gas. They're all out of everything else.

Good news, when I head north I will be bringing 20 gallons of ethanol-free gas with me. Not hoarding, just because you can't buy ethanol-free gas in Massachusetts and I am sick of cleaning out carburetors that have been gummed up with ethanol in my chain saws, leaf blowers, weed wacker, and generator. I will never figure out why millions of people are starving in this world and our idiotic government determined that we need to add corn based ethanol to our gas. Go figure?

Fracking is what allowed old reservoirs become profitable but now than has been banned.

Is this an opinion, or do you have real evidence that this hack has any thing to do with “socialism card game”?

You have gone the other way in giving fake news. SOUTHERN FLORIDA is not dependent on that pipeline at all. so the true story is that the problems we are suffering here in The Villages is being artificially created by the media and fearmongers.

I heard that the Colonial Pipeline Company was using the email program Microsoft Exchange, instead of Microsoft Outlook or some other email program. Microsoft Exchange was very vulnerable to hackers, and the company refused to upgrade the email program. This was probably the management of the company that made the totally reckless decision to not upgrade the email software, probably to save money.

I heard that the company paid the ransom. I also heard that the Federal government said that it’s a private company, and that they could pay the ransom if they wanted to do that.

So, it appears that there’s no consequences to the management of the company. The Federal government seems like it’s not interested in going after the bad actors.

But from the perspective of someone that has only a quarter of a gas tank less, that’s going to run empty soon, why can’t you wait a few minutes longer in line?

You wait in line at the Tax Collector’s Office, you wait in line to check out at stores, you wait in line to exit Costco and Sam’s Club stores. If you’re going to a Disney park, most of the time there, you’re waiting in lines. Just read the email or surf the web with your cellphone while you’re waiting in the line at the gas station. If you’re retired, you have plenty of extra time to wait in lines!

Fracking is not banned everywhere.
Some states have banned it, but the majority have not..

Fracking is not banned in Florida, for instance, but once in awhile someone tries...
Fracking ban proposal re-emerges in Florida

Good Lord! You are a fire bomb on wheels. Please drive carefully, you do not want to be in an accident, or rear-ended by another vehicle. Clean the carburetors, it's safer!!
