I grew up in St. Petersburg, I remember Johnny Carson made a joke about St. Pete one time in his monologue. He called St. Petersburg 'Gods Waiting Room' on national TV. At the time I was in my 20's and thought it was accurate. St. Pete was even known for it's green benches along the streets of downtown, usually full of seniors. Now the city has removed most of them to change their image to a young city on the move.

Seems like a bad choice of words. Doesn't shed a positive light on Florida that's for sure. The young who live here see the future up close....The folks who come here for their vacations might reconsider visiting if they think old people are everywhere.
