For those posters concerned about the Hamas group, and please remember there is nobody who wants ANYONE to die, but concern expressed for this terrorist organizaion....

"Hamas executed dozens of diggers responsible for its extensive tunnel system in past weeks, fearing the workers would reveal the site locations to Israel, a report on the Mako website’s army blog said."

Ok...you will question the source but I think they may know a bit more than we do...but hey....at least the Hamas you fear for are not yet considered in the same rank with ISIL, but I would consider my group to be pretty bad to be in consideration...

"For sheer, brutal efficiency, ISIL is several steps above Hamas, Hezbollah, Boko Haram or even the Taliban. "

Sorry...just taken back by your sympathy for this group

Not sure indiscriminate applies to Israel.......their rockets are smart rockets, Hamas uses the point and shoot rockets which are indiscriminate.

Israel targets rocket launch sites. Hamas intentionally shoots their rockets from schools, mosques, and medical facilities. As I am typing this, another rocket has been fired intentionally towards Israeli citizens by Hamas. Israel warns neighborhoods that they will be attacking and even drops pamphlets and non lethal ordinance in advance of the actual attack to limit civilian casualties. Once again I quote former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meier who said "We can forgive you for killing our children, but we can never forgive you for making us kill your children". Hamas has but a single stated goal and they've said it over and over. They want to drive the Jews into the sea. Perhaps the Jews should negotiate and only let Hamas kill half of them. Here is a simple and enduring truth. If Hamas and other terrorist groups would lay down their weapons, there would be peace. If Israel lays down their weapons, their will be no more Israel.
Edit: Its 1:05pm and another rocket has hit Israel. That's 3 rockets in the last 25 minutes. What other country on earth would be expected to put up with this?

The title of Kitty's post is, "How long has it been since a rocket hit Israel." What the website shows is how many rockets are "launched" at Israel.

One of the positives here is that not many of those launched actually hit. Israel has an outstanding rocket defense system called the "Iron Dome" which prevents the vast majority of these rockets from reaching their targets.

Sadly, some of them do get through and kill innocent people.

Rags, I'm shaking my head also.

Some people have a fundamental misunderstanding (as in Ferguson) of a not-difficult-to-understand situation. A popular personality affectionately refers to these folks as "low information voters".

True. Here's An op Ed piece with statistics on the Rockets the antimissile dome and the costs involved. The author believes the dome has perpetuated Hamas because Israel has avoided wholesale slaughter and survived on being defensive more so than offensive

Just for information. Folks seem to put Hamas and ISIL into different slots; ISIL being the vicious one and Hamas is portrayed as the misunderstood who are not terrorists, just want peace.

Besides their non ability to even recognize Israel, I offer this OP piece...

Horrific new atrocity photos flowed from the Middle East Friday. Only this time the victims were Palestinians, not Americans, and the killers were from Hamas, not ISIS.
Angered by Israel’s successful hit on three of its top commanders in an airstrike, Hamas lined 18 “informers” against a wall and publicly gunned them down. This, declared Hamas, was “revolutionary justice,” vowing that more such killings will follow.
Summary executions are nothing new to Hamas, of course. Yet much of the world thinks it’s engaged in legitimate resistance to “Zionist occupation.

Any extreme Muslim is a worry to me. Because they think I am an infidel and should be dead. That is what they believe. I believe otherwise.

I really don't like these discussions but you really should look up what indiscriminate means.....and try and understand why Hamas wants their civilians to be casualties. Inflammatory use of words like discriminate does nothing to further the discussions
