How dumb can you be?

I would rather be built correctly the first time and not have to worry about going back in for repairs because it was built too fast giving it time to settle.

Your membership card at BJ's is good for more than a year. It's good right now at any BJ' s and good for one year when this store opens up. One thing BJ's has a good deal on is paperbacks. If you like to read, then this is the cheapest price I've seen on paperbacks.

I think at our age we should have the skills to be able to recognize where the best deals can be found. Some may be at Sam's, others may be at BJ's or Costco. I for one have no problem if BJ haters stay away. Less crowded for those of us who do choose to shop there...

Yes. We go to Costco about every 5 weeks and buy frozen strawberries, organic pasta, organic canned goods that we regularly use, toothpaste, mouthwash, laundry supplies, etc. and find that we save a good bit of money. Oh, and we fill up with gas as it is always the cheapest that we’ve found since moving to TV and it’s top tier. Not a bad drive either.

If one is worried about ice cream, bring a cooler and drive by car. Golf carts don’t hold enough when you go to a warehouse store.

Sorry, I have to ask..... was that high on your criteria for moving here? Did you say to yourself "I have never seen such poor building quality anywhere else...... I think I'll move there?"

We have to be in Costco area every 5 weeks, and Gainesville (TJ’s) every 4 weeks. Drive an hour either way not a big deal for us. BJ’s would be an hour in our cart, so frozen stuff would have to be eaten half way home ice cream comes to mind.

Original post above, “We Have to be in Costco area every 5 weeks, and Gainesville every 4 weeks”.
Reading entire post helps, before you quote off response, with an OH DEAR.

already driving within 2 miles of Costco, so bonus.

I don’t get why many retired people in TV worry about time spent driving, it’s not like you are working 60 hours a week, and have very little time to drive to Costco. With 24 hours a day 4 hours to sleep, 8-10 hours of work, leaves me 10 plus hours to enjoy life outside of my house.

Talking Be Thankful The Villages Isn't Building BJ's

Yeah, and if they built BJ's as fast as some of the houses in TV, there would probably be one thing after another going wrong . . . a sinkhole, perhaps?

Publix at Magnolia Plaza was originally suppose to be a different grocery. That was changed and was the major reason it took so long to get the Publix built in that location.
