A Big like or dislike buttom...perhaps a huge happy face or a frown. Too many forums end up a place to gripe or the negative loonies and fear mongers take over and we all stop visiting them. Perhaps a column for those who like the darker side could be added but not pop up automatically and those who like to stew can visit together.

Sometimes I read stuff on this forum and shake my head... sometimes I laugh and sometimes I wonder if I have moved to a psych ward community. The good the bad and the ugly it's all here. Enjoy.

I would have the temperment of a saint. So that's not happening anytime soon.

Most of it sounds like it's coming out of a prison psych ward somewhere. There is endangerment by exposing one's identity on internet, even when saying only happy horse-s**t and drivel. |

I suspect a moderator looks at the overall view of posters comments, the number of posts accumulated, the intent of the post, the poster's past behaviors to make such deletions. However, it also can be as simple as off topic. I could be a moderator because I have always been interested in the way individuals think and relate to the world along with their life long experiences. People are truly fascinating creatures and if one remains objective despite the bad, the beautiful and the ugly you find some interesting stories. Now how can one get bored with that result? Isn't that one of the reasons why we all post here on this forum? |

I get posts deleted regularly, as they should be, but not all of them as some of the folks who dislike me very much wish.
I was devastated with the first few deletes, and badly hurt by the hatred but I think I am getting more tough skinned like the real journalist in my family. I know that posting here is an obsession, but I so enjoy the back and forth. So many times a person can't hear what folks are saying when we are out in restaurants with music playing. And like most, I am braver here, simi concealed behind this computer, although I do know and am blessed with the friendship of many people who post. I keep trying to quit, and someday I will. I enjoy this forum very much.

The moderators here do a great job IMHO. Topix.com is still the wild wild west but it seems no one takes that seriously. People took Findlaw very seriously. As to my tormentor on Findlaw of about 5 years I have not seen him posting anywhere on the Internet since 2008 or so. I had contacted the Chesterfield County Sheriff, VA about him as well as the Pinellas County Sheriff, FL and the FBI as well. They could not do anything. I did start writing my Federal Representative in Congress as well as the FL Senators and I did seem to be making some progress. Findlaw changed a great deal after that. I jumped ship off of Findlaw and came onto Talk of the Villages in July 2007. Mainly as some friendly place unlike Findlaw to push my 224 613 Project but try to be a lot more patient with it. I have a lot more interests than the 224 613 Project but it is a real passion of mine. I found Facebook which turned out to be the perfect way to get my 224 613 Project much more broadly known but you do need to post with your real name and a lot of very personal information on there. I could post all my supporting documentation of Facebook too which I had tried in 2001 on Facebook but these were soon deleted from there even though the Findlaw System Operator had initially told me that Findlaw was the perfect place for showing all those documents. A lot of people on Findlaw did not like what I was trying to do with empowering victims/survivors of crimes with access to practical information. You would have more people asking intelligent questions in the legal system. Last edited by Taltarzac725; 09-09-2015 at 06:21 PM. |

amazing----your own personal cyberstalker on a legal site---seems like kind of an oxymoron. No one would have blamed you if you hunted him down and introduced him to Mr. 12 gauge (actually, they would), but you understand the concept.
