Maybe the longevity with USAA of some customers is a factor in the prices. For now I'm staying put.
I had the same experience. USAA was a few buck higher than what I currently pay State Farm for two cars and a truck. It's probably a good deal for longtime customers, not so good for newbies, at least this newbie.
By the way, we both have flawless driving records.
Oh well, at least we tried.

We have auto with USAA, great company. Signed papers last Thursday to start building in Village of Tamarind Grove. Checked with USAA today for homeowners and was told ASI in not writing policies in that location at this time. They quoted a policy frm Citizens Trust which is the insurer of last choice as it's the state funded insurer $1100 & change. Villages Insurance at Colony Plaza sent me two quotes from ASI just over $700. Go figure would have preferred the USAA customer service but not at the price difference. Erin was very knowledgable and helpful.

Well thats good to know for the others. so at least the others are aware. I also am a newbie and know there are big differences with Florida insurance.
Progressive.com is outrageous. usaa/legion.com more than 50% cheaper than Progressive. So statefarm.com is cheaper than all of them??? I noticed shopping for house insurance is the same way, very big differences so I picked Allstate, unable to use usaa for this one until some openings exist. Every single type of insurance I once had in Massachusetts including health I couldnt use in Florida. All I can say is thank god for the internet. As time goes on I'll get more educated. 4 days to go!!!!!!!
