Its not my "thing" to follow these so called "sensation trials" but it seems a lot of time and taxpayer money would have been saved with a second degree plea bargain. Not to mention the long long appeal process if there is a conviction. Of course, we wouldn't have all the television drama and that would be a disappointment, huh?

I agree that justice will be served. In this case interest is stimulated by media looking for ratings. She's been made into a celebrity, just as OJ and Casey Anthony were by the media. What will follow the trial will probably be a book and a made for TV movie. Can you see Lindsey Lohan playing the role. Just needs glasses a brunette dye job.

I admit I try not to follow these trials too much. The Casey Anthony trial absolutely broke my heart...I became obsessed with it.

What I don't understand why people buy the books or watch the movies or TV interviews in the first place. Criminals, that are convicted in the Court System should not be made celebrities. Nor should their lawyers.

Sure wish Lindsay Lohan would quietly go away...wishful thinking I guess.

Then the state of Arizona will have to house, feed, clothe and provide medical care for her for possibly 40 or 50 years. Hope this is not considered political.

It's been proved, that they will pay even more (appeals/etc.) .......to carry out an execution.

I think life in prison, with no chance of parole....is "justice."

I prefer that...over "revenge."

NBC News is reporting this afternoon that the penalty phase hearing, scheduled to start today, has been canceled because Jodi Arias has been transferred to another prison's psych ward.

Could this be another act by Ms Arias? She said in an interview yesterday that she would rather die than spend the rest of her life in jail.

I'm betting it is another act.

I also heard she was put on suicide watch.
