What seems to be cut a dry always seems to turn out different based on how much money is avail to pay the defense lawyers.
Our court system has been spun and twisted so that defendants are not assured a fair trail if they have money or backers. They are then allowed to lie, cheat and whatever else it takes to GET OFF.

The more bizare the case, the more it is loved by the media; hence, more money available to prolong the case until they GET OFF.

Any way we could change this situation? Smarter --as in better educated in the ways of the law-- jurors? I believe strongly in the right to a fair trial but as you seem to imply when money and TV ratings based on advertising points for ads and the like impact on judicial system, fair trials look like the farthest journey for survivors/victims of defendants to take. Ban TV from these type of trials? That sounds unconstitutional.

Jodi is a good example of why we should get the media OUT of the courtrooms. Fine, have someone report later, but she played it like a tune.

Also, HLN having 4 - repeat 4 - hours of rehashing the day, each and every night? Gosh, will be surprised if that isn't brought up on appeal.

Wonder what the jurors will be thinking now that they are excused from duty and can view all of her interviews ("I want to die") and find out things that they weren't able to see otherwise.
