Just seeing these reports....

I don't see any internal admin or mod discussion about actions on this thread. Having read most of the posts, I saw nothing that would have required any action.

I do see Tal's post on 3/16 at 9:51 pm but don't see chelsea24. When was hers posted?

As someone noted, the site was down for maintenance Saturday night. Someone else mentioned they thought posts in other threads were missing.

Let's give the admin a chance to investigate and reply.

This Moderator did not and would not have altered any of the posts. I can't imagine the other Moderators would have done so either.

This thread has been a beautiful tribute to one of the "charter" members of TOTV.

Thanks for your understanding and patience while this is looked into.

For all of those posters who have expressed their intent to pray for our g'friend, Donna, we thank you. Many of us are suffering over this tragedy and feel deep emotional pain over it and really appreciate all your prayers. I understand how distressed Chelsea is over her post that has been lost in cyberspace, therefore I saved it yesterday when it appeared for a brief moment. I will post it now for all to see and to have Chelsea deep emotional post to our friend back on record. Here it is.

WRITTEN BY CHELSEA 24:

I have no words to express how I feel about Donna. From the day I met her in 2007, I felt like I had known her forever. We have always stayed in touch, she had always been in my corner, I will love her forever. I am deeply, deeply sad.

Memories of Donna...

I called her Donnaloni and she called me Cheloni (this was when we said something crazy or funny and dedicated to our dear mutual friend Nonie.)

I will remember....
Her never ending loyalty.
Her humor. Her laugh. Her smile.
Late nights hanging out in the chat room and her "Phone! Phone!"
Chasing the Villages ghost, Julia.
Her "Dazzlers"!
Her getting Kathie and I back together, when we had had a tiff.
Her laying by my pool, looking up at the sky, saying she could stay here forever. (Oh, if she only could...)
Her calling my husband vetman and the thoughtful gifts she brought us when he helped her with advice on her dog.
Her snowy pictures from The Pocanos. Her horses.
Her husband John and her treasured daughter Donna Marie.
Lunches with the group and dinners at the Square.
Her kind, gentle soul that never had a bad word to say about anyone.

We had quite a group back in that chat room. It's sad that it has splintered and many of us do not see each other anymore. Donna would not like this at all. She saw the good in everyone, and we should all take a lesson from this. Life is very fragile and brief. Hold tight to one another. Let's all forgive more easily.

But, wow, we did have laughs. That's for sure. And Donna was right in the center of it all.

I've been praying for months, but to no avail. Donna must be needed elsewhere. God is calling her home. But, I can't say Good-bye because I know we will meet again. And I'll hear her raspy, Staten Island accent yelling "Cheloni! I'm going to get you some fishies to nibble at your toes!!!" It was an honor knowing you Donnaloni -- Big kiss and hug to you my dear friend. The pleasure was all mine...

Very well said, Chels. Captures Donna's personality to a T.

I spent many hours in the chat room back in the day, including the evening when Donna freaked out thinking there were prowlers outside her villa. There was a slow moving vehicle and a low rumbling noise and other movement. Kathie raced up from Hadley to be there with her. Turns out it was the mosquito spraying truck. That was worth a good laugh.

When someone asks me what's "wrong" with The Villages... the only thing I can come up with is.... people are older, so, they get hurt, they get sick, and they die. So, I'm a big believer in "don't sweat the small stuff" and cherishing every happy, healthy day we have here.

To Donna, may you find peace and comfort surrounded by your family and know that your Villages friends are rooting for you.

We were such a close-knit little "family" in the old Chat Room days. It is heart-wrenching to have one of our members torn from us at such a young age. Donna organized the first TOTV lunch back in 2007. She is a beautiful petite blond with a spirit to match. Over the years some of us have grown apart, but in our hearts, we will always treasure our dear friends. I have prayed for Donna daily and thought about her constantly since we found out how ill she is.

I will repeat Nonie's words as it is exactly how I feel also ....
"Our sweet beautiful Donna is in our thoughts and prayers constantly. We pray for a gentle passing and for her to have the knowledge that she is so loved by God and all of us here. We will hold the happy memories of time spent with her forever."

Default Donna

Chels, 07, Bare and Nonie really sum up all of my feelings. Plus other members who posted about Donna.

I am still having a hard time accepting the reality of the situation and hoping for a miracle. Pray for her daily and she is always with me.

07 - I forgot about that incident. She was terrified and then along comes her Knightress in white armor - Kathie to the rescue.

We all have and hold many cherish moments we shared in the Chat Room. Wish I could turn back the clock to those times.

I will never forget Julia and the party that we were going to have - Kiddo and the pictures she took of Julia.

Yes, we laughed a lot. We were one large happy family.

The former HB.

We are not sure why the post wasn't appearing but we did have to take the server down on Saturday night for maintenance and something may have inadvertently happened to several posts.

Kathie, I am so sorry to learn that Donna is so ill. Certainly I will pray for her, her family and for all of her friends, who are suffering along with her. I lost my husband to lung cancer, so I know first hand the pain all of you are sharing. I believe I met Donna once at your house, when you were having a large get together. I do know that she sent me pics of her patio Villa that she had for sale and that's how we started talking. She is a very warm and wonderful person. She made me feel very welcome. My heart goes out to her and may God comfort Donna and all of you who love her so dearly.
